Agreed, Smith did a great job in re-establishing his side for the second half.

10 points from the 5 games is fine. Shame about today. Norwich were much better pressing today. Probably didn't deserve to lose but second half Norwich were better. Substitutions just didn't work. Missed Armstrong.

Ok, that's pissed me off. For a side that isn't prolific in front of goal, we did the worst thing and gave a struggling team a quick equaliser. Didn't think we had a right to beat them, but I thought we'd broken the 'only play well in one half' hoodoo? Very poor second half.
Walcott looks done, other subs I can understand. Tino looked knackered second half, as did Armstrong.

What went wrong seemed to be that Diallo turned from the best player on the pitch to almost the worst in the second half. Almost every pass was under hit or inaccurate. We just lost the midfield completely.

Good point but if we are winning I don't think the 2nd half plays out like it did.

    3 points chucked away today

Fair result in the end. First half we played well while they gave us too much respect (but defended well). Second half, they upped their game well. Chased everything and we were just second best to every ball it seemed. Ralph made decent subs but Broja failed to make any sort of impact (he has to take chances like this). By 70 minutes, you could see we had resigned ourselves to a draw whilst Norwich were thinking 'hey, this game is ours for the taking now'.

Credit to Smith. Always thought he was out of his depth at Villa with all those big names. This is his level and he's a good match to Norwich - getting half decent players performing out of their skin week after week. He may well keep them up.

We need to just regroup and remember you're only as good as your last win. Ralph will get them back in shape for the Anfield trip I'm sure. Hopefully Watson can do some work on set pieces. We scored more goals from set pieces than most team last year (first half of season). This year we've been very poor.

He did what he did when we played Villa.
Stopped us playing out through JWP and Romeu, and shut off the early pass to the wingbacks in space.
Shame we didn’t expect the change and adapt better to it.
I thought bringing Broja on was worth a shot, but we never played to his height and they turned the ball over far too easily second half.

I've been Ralph out since Jan and even I don't think this result is that appalling. We've had a nice little run, had to end somewhere. Better Norwich than villa....

The match should've been put to bed before H/T, it is baffling how a team can be so dominant after 45 mins and be so anaemic after the break.

Was a weird one. We missed Redmond and/or Stu.

Second half the likes of Diallo and Salisu were so sloppy with their passes. It’s like they became overly relaxed due to the easiness of the first 45.

Romeu was excellent again, and JWP was really pulling strings first half.

KWP looked knackered second half. I don’t think Moi provides the same kind of support that Redmond does.

McCarthy bad today but that’s his first bad one of the season. It will happen from time to time. We should have put it to bed first half anyway and it wouldn’t have mattered.
