Greaves by a mile. KLP..but must ask where he has been for the last couple of months. Longman. Baxter ..special mention ..solid performance.
KLP had a decent game - yes . The dribble and cross for our second was excellent, but for me others contributed more .
He's been on the left wing, cutting inside and into trouble at every opportunity, v predictable on the left, whereas on the right today he was going both ways and causing all sorts of problems edit...I also think his approach on the left is hampered by just how well Elder gets forward because he's always busting his ass to over lap meaning KLP's just taking up the same space by trying to go outside
Honeyman Greaves Longman. To me you could add KLP, Baxter Doc and Smallwood to that list too. No-one let us down today. Cheers for the win.
Surprising McCoughlin isn't getting more mentions. In retrospect, maybe should have been in my 3. Considering he's been behind 3 in the pecking order, and previously struggled to get a look in, he's been very competent and looked very assured. All 3 also seem comfortable with the ball, and willing to bring it out, not just 'stoppers' (add Greaves to that), which is good.
I have to say of all our loan players, I like Bernard. If we ever got the opportunity to buy one of our loan players - he’d be the one.
Not sure when McLoughlin's contract ends, but I'd say he is itching for regular football at Championship level - its the only way he will ever get consideration by ROI for international selection...the years are beginning to slip by for him.
He played well today. Previously I haven’t been impressed. If he continues like he played yesterday, then I would agree. Yesterday he set the standard.
McLoughlin has improved a bit as he used to look like he’d got a mistake in him any time he had the ball. He is also the most one footed player I’ve seen for a very long time.
