This thread might see more traffic now! I’ve been on the fence, I’m firmly off it now. He literally managed us to a draw in a game we should win by 4 or 5
We can’t keep going on this manager merry-go-round but this has signs that he’s lost the plot. We were comfortable with Winchester in the middle and Gooch at RB and on comes Evans and it ****s it. I’m absolutely gutted by that result, especially since Wigan dropped points and Rotherham won again. I really want him to turn it around, but I just can’t see how he will and if he does, there’ll be another winless run when it boils down to the final months.
Exactly why I am Johnson out. Getting on for 2 months and 10 games of poor performances. He just won't get us up.
To be honest he’s now as bad as the other managers we've had down here, just give us a bit of excitement you nugget.
Shuffled 2 players out of position to accommodate a defensive midfielder against ten men Shrewsbury Town, absolutely disgusting
I’m sick as a bastard tonight mind. A long term project isn’t going to last with one cog not working properly.
To me his input lost us the three points. The players need clarity, consistency and simplicity and don’t seem to know the plan and his changes added to it. If he was chocolate he’d eat himself.
He needs to explain his logic behind making one sub that moved 2 other players into different positions and ****ed us right up. The logic was what? Bring Evans on to protect a lead against 10 men? Then panic at the end and chuck a centre half up front? We should have been out of sight not hanging on
Not one for changing manager’s but does this bloke want the sack ? The opponents down to 10 men so he brings on a defensive midfielder who Was shocking on Saturday I really don’t understand
In my opinion. he's not as good as Ross. We need a manager who can handle the pressure and take the heat off the players. None of the managers we've had (Ross included) at this level have been able to do that. The worrying thing for me is that other than changing personnel, he hasn't done anything to solve the problem of it being too easy for the opposition to get at us. Our poor defensive set up will have a knock on effect on other areas of the pitch, eg Midfielders not wanting to try defence splitting passes in case the move breaks down and our defence is too exposed. This might explain why Stewart is suddenly dropping much deeper too.
This is obviously correct, should never , ever have been kept on after last season ( it was clear at the time he was not up to the job), really, really poor decision from the owner
