Off to the Beckham's house tomorrow

In yet another ridiculous chain of events, that's happened to me over the years, I've been asked to call in to the Cotswold home of David Beckham.
It never fails to surprise me how these things happen and I'm looking forward to this although, sadly, Mrs Smug can't be there.

Security is tight there but I'll hopefully sneak a photo as a souvenir.

This post isn't showing off, just a bit of a laugh at myself about how these things happen to me completely out of the blue. I'll have to have a look at the Great Tew estate history now to see what it's all about. The people I work for here know it from when they'd visit as children after WW2.

Enjoy it mate. These sort of things seem to happen more to free spirits who reject the life-paths taken by the majority of us: shipyards, mines, factories, offices. I’m not criticising people who take these routes, apart from my army years I was one of them working in offices for years. Doesn’t stop me being envious of you, though.

Unfuckingbelievable what them two have managed to achieve from a football and singing (use that term lightly) career. If they didn't get together I don't think they would be anywhere near what they are now, fame or fortune wise.

About 40million in two houses mentioned there.

 

Beckham was an unbelievable footballer and a big fashion icon, he's earned his money all by himself.
Posh on the otherhand has been very lucky.

He was a lot better than most gave him credit for imo. He grafted to get to where he got to and people have a go at him about the 'spice boy' good looks and stuff. As a player, I thought he was excellent, ****ing lethal from set pieces.
