Yes i forgot there was a fee involved for Cirkin, he must have been our only proper signing then. The fact of the matter is we should have spent money in all areas of the pitch, especially upfront instead of relying on loans. My opinion of course.
We also have an obligation to buy Hoffmann and Dajaku in the summer, not to mention sizeable loan fees for Alves, Broadhead and Dolye But you knew this already of course and decided to omit it to suit your "we've spent no money" narrative
Im not getting into an argument with you on rtb's matchday thread pal. Your being an absolute nobsack. I wasnt talking about loan fee's, i was talking about spending some real cash and making some proper signings that are permanent to get us out of this god foresaken league once and for all.
Back to the match……… My feeling this game will turn out to be a pivotal moment for the team & LJ. I’ve a feeling we’re gonna see a performance that leaves the lot on the pitch. 0-3 to The Lads. HAWAY!!!! Bart
We should have enough to win but we should have had enough to beat Shrewsbury on Tuesday. The worst thing is I don’t know what to expect. I wouldn’t be surprised if we won but equally it wouldn’t shock me if we put in another horrendous performance and lost.
So McGeady’s out for up to 3 months. O’Nien’s having his op. according to Upthere over the road and will be out for a few weeks. Not looking good for tomorrow. Time for others to step up.
Wouldn't totally surprise me if the game gets called off looking at the forecast for the next 24 hours
Great thread RTB, thanks mate. Tough game as they are good at home. Our injury list is shocking now. This is going to be hard to manage. We dont have many goals in the team and McGeady is one of the few who can do it! Need to dig in now for a few weeks. Time for Evans, Pritchard and one or two others to step up. I wouldnt mind the following team. Hoffman Winchester Flannagan Wright Dyce Neil Evans Doyle Embleton Stewart Pritchard
Good use of resources mate in a difficult period due to loss of form and injuries. FWIW, I would prefer the width to come from Winny and Dyce, so: Hoffman Doyle, Flanagan or Wright, Younger Winchester, Neil, Evans, Embleton, Dyce Broadhead, Stewart
Well this injury news just tops my week, youngest daughter, hubby and two kids confirmed covid positive, our elderly neighbour 93, has had to go into a nursing home as she's gone off her legs and we couldn't cope any longer looking after her, was looking for a boost at Shrewsbury which didn't happen so if tomorrow ends up with a defeat then I'm leaving the country. To top that lot our weekend away next week at Centre Parks is in the balance now, so our 50th wedding anniversary celebrations with all the family which we've already had to cancel once due to bloody covid would be the final straw, so come on lads three points ffs. Great thread as usual RTB many thanks.
