I've only been to Glasgow when i was about 8 or something so don't really know. Edinburgh is canny like.
Yea Edinburghs decent, had my honeymoon there as the missus is a foreigner and couldn't go abroad at the time. Glasgow is great though, well worth a trip up
Is The Percy still there? We used to go in there when I was at Uni, every Friday lunchtime for lunch (ham, egg and chips) and massive quantities of alcohol, all paid for by a rich Iranian doing a Ph.d in our department, normally finishing with a couple of runs along the optics and then back to finish the experiments we were working on at about 5pm. God knows how there weren’t more serious HSE incidents than there were.
Looks like a hell of a pub crawl! Will defo try and hit as many of these as I can next time I'm up for a game!
You need to listen, TA. That is the Man who drank the Ashington Wetherspoon’s dry…….of coffee who is talking.
At no point did I have a coffee mate. You clearly misread my original post. Or I clearly mistyped my original post. Regardless at no point did a coffee go down my throat.
FYEO has very good pre match entertainment I have moreorless not bothered in recent times with a crawl. Generally just went to the game earlier and pre ordered my drink. Did used to like the Bodega, always a good pint. Is the Crown Posada done then? I was told it would be reopening but they'd taken a long term view on the COVID situ?? Be a shame that. It'll forever be remembered at Ghetto Golf in Hoults Yard I suppose...
When the lad and I used to come up we booked into a hotel in Jesmond, had a couple there and then set off. Started with a couple in the Railway Carriage, then a couple in The Hotspur, a couple in The Percy, a couple in The Three Bull's Heads and then a couple in the Strawberry and one crap pint in the ground before taking our seats. It was f@cking great, we always won 3-1, I think ... After the match we did the same thing in reverse and then went for a curry.
