At Charlton it did. Got told it was something to do with requirements from the fire brigade. Not sure why, I would have thought they would have wanted exact numbers?

 

That sounds contradictory to me, maybe the party line internally, but horse **** in reality.

 

I have been since told it was because season ticket holders could still arrive after they give the count the authorities before kick off, so have to assume they may turn up?
I can kind of get that back in the day when everything was paper based and counted, but in today’s world everything is electronic, so if a incident did occur surely a quick press of a button on a PC would provide an accurate count?
