I'd change that to in his career so far. Very rarely does he look like a real asset imo. Which is a shame because I don't think there is a fan that wouldn't love to see the lad become a top player for us. He come across as loving the club and a great lad.
much improved performance so far, gooch doing what he does best, no p1ss farting about just getting the ball and using it. problem being, my sunderland stream always buffers like mad, then goes into 10 x speed, catches up with itself then repeats about a minute later, so i am watching the cambridge stream and just wish their commentators would get our players names right, pleased they finally realised broadhead is not stewart before he scores, wright and flanno along with gooch and winchester and somehow they get pritchard confused with most of our midfield. second half is really going to show if we are playing much better or the wind is just stifling cambridge, gonna be a bit of a test.
I wonder if this attacking full back could be his position. He can run up and down that side all game with the attitude he has and in this game he's offering us a good outlet on the right.
god i hope its not just the wind stifling them , thanks for putting that in my head sam cant get rid of it mate
I think this season too many players have not achieved the consistency both they and we need and it has been frustrating I like his tenacity and he does get a few goals when on form. We all have our opinions and I totally respect your opinion of him whilst also agreeing I think to a man we all want him to succeed.
Don't give the ball away is all he needs to say ... ... and don't let Pritchard cop a second yellow, replace him with Embleton or O'Brien if we need to after 70 mins.
Has anyone noticed the top of their main stand bends with the earth's crust ... ... or are these Stellas affecting my eyesight
I can see them lumping it up and being physical. We need the next goal whereupon they may just crumble.
sorry marra...have to say they have knocked it about well enough in patches but our midfield has been looking eager to get stuck in, more of the same but keep it on the ground more than they did and we should be able to control the game, took us a while to get used to those forward balls being overhit, hopefully will take them a while to get to grips as well and could work in our favour.
And we need to be clever enough to pick them off tbh ... ... they have no choice but to push on and we already know that. 100% have to keep it on the floor.
this is the worry but seems they like to play it along the ground, also not too easy to judge how far the ball will go in the wind...we might have a lot of goal kicks 2nd half
Plymouth, Wigan, Sheff Wed, Wycombe, Rotherham, Portsmouth, Burton, Portsmouth all currently dropping two points ... ... just saying.
