Yeah maybe, the problem is though, the minute you make an exemption every bell end anti vaxxer and fweedom cry arse will just claim to be in that group and you end up with a shop where a decent percentage aren’t complying, of whom some will be unvaccinated. You can’t make a Dr’s issued exemption card mandatory, as they’d use equality law to claim you’re not allowed to ask their medical status.

Watching the UK from afar it appears as though you have collectively lost all common sense. There is a virus that is going around that can kill you. The spread can be limited by wearing a mask. If you can't socially distance then wear a mask, simple, or am I missing something? As for the exceptions our chief health officer said that there would be exceptions but if you were too sick to wear a mask then it probably would be better to stay at home and get people who can to do your shopping for you. Hopefully though Pfizer will find out that the current vaccine is effective against the new variant and we can breath again, forgive the pun.

Of course, but those that are genuinely exempt with actual good reason will be more than willing to carry the card.

Places like Fingest and Skirmet and stuff?

Posh birds in Marlow liked a northern ruffian.

Honestly, I hate wearing a mask. Not because of freedom…. It’s because I wear glasses.
    1) the bastards steam up instantly in the winter when you go from cold to warmth and won’t even de-steam over time so I generally just walk round half blind
    2) the mask straps take away the friction between ears and the glasses. So every time I look down they slip the **** off, which when in a supermarket is a lot.

In conclusion, I end up stumbling around with a hand pressing them to my face so they don’t fall off

    The old Stranraer Sunglasses!

can be a pain, but not enough of an inconvenience for me to not wear, have done so since the start.
Would Johnson not wearing one make me want to take a risk? no, he is a ****ing prick if the highest order.

They help reduce spread and makes people give you a bit of space.

I'm a glass half full type of guy.

Hopefully this new strain is the beginning of its evolution in to a less dangerous virus. Yes it might be easier to spread but it might turn out to be less deadly like the other coronavirus we catch.

Be interesting how many actually start wearing masks again, and how strongly it’s enforced.
Tobes mentioned it earlier, but the scenario of me grinding in my Saturday night boozer, then putting a mask on to pick a pint of milk up the next day, seems like a load of bollocks. I’m sure that many will feel the same way.
What’s the point? If the government are genuinely worried about this new variant, lock us down and bring back furlough for the millions of workers who will be affected by it.

Maybe do some widespread state-led PCR testing if you want travellers to quarantine for an unknown period of time rather than letting a bloke you know from down the golf club organise it at £70 a pop.

I suppose the difference is, that you choose to go to a packed boozer, I would not. But there are occasions when I have to visit a shop, so whilst the whole thing is disjointed, it does give people the option of increased safety if others comply with this very basic request.
