Funny as **** isn’t it?!?! They were dire. Watched it all and they were terrible. But that was a good performance. Funny how the “penalty” for a shoulder barge (clearly shoulder to shoulder looking at the replay) is the reason they lost according to him. Their fans on twitter seem to lay blame more at the players/defending. Yet 6 weeks ago it was Bruce’s fault… and Ashley of course…
Norwich up next, on Tuesday, for Eddie and the boys ... ... they don't have too many happy memories of them tbh please log in to view this image
But, but, but, we are obsessed with them they don't care about us we are so beneath them. This and the bloke at a derby with the man City league cup champions flag prove to me they are not obsessed.
They have got major problems up the road. Way deeper than the players on the pitch at first team XI imo.
Say what you like, Ashley ran a tight ship ... ... Newcastle are rudderless at the moment and the wind has totally gone out of their sails. But the worst of it is that they no longer have any sympathy or respect from outside their own sordid bubble. Bad times are ahead and there are plenty with axes to grind.
And when the 'momentum' ****s off from this takeover it will be hard to stop the downward spiral (as we all know). I genuinely think that Ashley was the right 'type' of owner, maybe the wrong club, but he isn't daft by any stretch imo.
He's a much sharper operator than Staveley and that's for sure ... ... he persuaded Benitez to take the job, she failed and had to settle for a manager who relegated his last team.
Does make you wonder what would happen if they went down. Could be way off but my feeling is the Saudi's would feel like they bought a new toy which turned out to be **** and they'd go back to the toy shop. Maybe they are serious owners with a serious long term plan but they don't give out that impression in the slightest.
I've never seen new owners show less enthusiasm, professionalism or inclination to actually run the football club. Angela Staveley is literally all they have and a manager who's afraid of interviews. If I were a Mag I'd be wondering what's going on.
In terms of a 'businessman' he is unreal. Profits left right and centre in most of his businesses. If I was him, I'd buy a Spuds season ticket, and then sit back and shout at Levy to **** off and just enjoy a pint of morretti (or whatever you choose to drink)
I think they would sell it for 1p if they went down to the championship. The Saudis want the glitz of the Prem, nothing else
But....but....my physio told me he knows a lad who knows the "Saudi bloke".....and apparently "He's a serious bloke and he's not come here not to win"........whatever that means
