True. Whereas we have Jamie Reuben only? He is the one who set out a 5 year plan for QPR under their mega rich owners. Languishing in mid table of the championship for how long now?!
Football is different, the clubs current plight is an issue and it's a long term plan. The clubs status is pending do therefor there's 2 options that are chalk and cheese in their comparison in literally every area are also pending. It'll be reet PIF are a massive organisation that aren't run by cowboys and neither at. e the reubans.. The other two are just the face of things
There isn’t just one plan mate. It’s phased. Short term plan is survival. Which is looking less likely but it can still be planned for. Get a DoF in. Get some staff in. Start planning for January buy also factor in the possibility of relegation. The players you need in a relegation fight is different to 5 years down the line. But the same type of players you need for a promotion push. My personal opinion is we don’t need the expensive Coutinho types. We need to be clever and to be clever you need STAFF. So we need a plan, a DoF, Scouts and the right people doing all that first. We also need to shift players. Which means we need someone to manage that aswell.
Yeah but I don’t think they were fully versed on arrival or more likely they knew the immediate concern was simply to raise the quality of the squad. They probably knew what they wanted but aren’t sure how that should look. I think they realised that allowing managers to dictate your transfer policy was a bad idea longer term because it is very expensive to change. Whereas you set an ethos. So I think management roles for the long term will happen quicker because they will learn from examples around them, but as for them happening in the immediate I think they would see it as us having more pressing concerns. We do need some bodies in though to assist as the team is bare and Charnley was carrying out multiple roles as Mr Fallguy
Exactly there's two potential short term plans in every area based on what happens in only a tiny amount of time in business terms. They'll already be talking with people and those people will already have plans targets etc Once they know what they're a rally looking at they'll make moves official or maybe they'll just go with option B in every area unnecessarily? Only to find they could've had A in a few weeks
Richard Masters interview. RM - “we need to encourage PL investment”. PL - “no sponsor deals allowed for Newcastle.”
I don’t think it would harm to start the scouting recruitment now. Even if it’s just to facilitate the new additions in January. We just have to get 3/5 new faces in to freshen up the place. And shift some out if possible. For what it’s worth I have said I want a slow progressive build up of the club over the next 5 years but there is no reason it can’t start now. And they will make mistakes and lots of them. Because difficult decisions need to be made. And when you add in the complexities around the KSA issue that will have some impact aswell I am sure.
It might be that we just make the decision short term that we are planning for relegation and if we survive then it’s a bonus. I wouldn’t expect massive signings in January and I also wouldn’t expect lots of loans. I think the next two games maybe moulds that’s decision.
They already have started mate we'd be very niave to think otherwise. Just relax mate there's two potential situations the owners have to plan for and they don't know which they're actually looking at yet.
I think the scouting team need help. I slate their efforts but it’s like everything else isn’t it, how well funded is it? Do we have a big enough team to upturn the relevant number of stones? Probably not once again. Some fresh perspective would help anyway too. I’d imagine getting scouts to move clubs is easier than director of footballs and senior management roles. So I think they will bolster that team, to enable them to get better players through the door, to meet short term goals. I also think the big roles will be filled too, but the reality is to get the best you probably have to progress a little first. It’s about reputation protection for those guys.
Everything comes down to funding. The scouts get **** but they provide lists and god knows how far down the list the guys that the club actually go out and get are. I'm finding it rather bewildering that people are getting negative already tbh.. Its been 8 weeks and the clubs in a pickle I'll judge in 5 to 10 years, but pif and the reubans aren't cowboys so I have complete faith
It’s not negative: and I don’t need to relax. It’s actually positive what I want: and that’s some progress. Starting now is as good a time as ever. The takeover took place 7 October. That is 7 and a half weeks ago. We have made some progress in changing some things and I would like more in getting in some scouts and some infrastructure. We need that in place for the start of January. So yes time is of the essence in that respect. Howe identifies the player positions he needs (all but let’s say a couple for laughs and giggles) and then the team go away and do their jobs. But currently there is no team to do that job.
Definitely and it's inevitable nufc will compete in years to come, but this now now now attitude is bewildering. I suppose it's a mixture of frustration, impatience and a deep rooted negativity that's clouding their view on reality. We're disgustingly rich and the Saudis won't stop until the toon are flying a flag where they want it.
It’s not now now attitude get off your horse mate. Your just being this weird “your right about everything” person again. I just want what’s best for the club now, in two months, 6 months, 1 year, 3 years and 5. Im not saying anything else right now other than the changes need to start happening so that this so called five year world dominating plan happens.
Well that's what you're saying.. You're being impacient and assuming changes and plans aren't taking place. It's not weird mate you just don't want to open your mind to what I'm saying Chill out no need to get personal
