Leeds now down to 10th and Jacko sounding deflated. He said it was a challenging game and we knew what to expect from their big powerful CB, but we couldn't deal with him so he scored twice from set pieces. Lets just agree that when the best young CB in the country and the best young RB in the country are not in the team you are going to struggle. We are playing a 15yo ffs and some 17yo kids because your best players are needed for the first team. Jacko needs to just admit that and if we dont sort this out soon we are in danger of relegation. We have dropped from 2 points off the top to 10th in 7 games, which coincides with first team injuries.

Archie Gray at 15 was a star again and keeps the Gray dynasty alive. Lewis Bate was MoM again

 

More problems due as Man City game now moved to Monday but with Crystal Palace first team game on Tuesday we can expect a young inexperienced team up against one of the top teams in the league. We know Ayling will be playing and probably Roberts as he wont feature on Saturday. But expecting another fruitless game as our best players are with the first team. Lewis Bate, Amari Miller, Sean McGurk Nohan Kenneh, Leo Hjelde, Jack Jenkins, Charlie Allen, Liam McCarron a lot is going to be on your shoulders, good luck

 

Just seen on bet365 we're one-nil up (penalty 36min) but it's been showing Leeds U23 injury for quite a while now. No idea of scorer or injury

Injured player was Hjelde, went off limping with a calf injury which he'd tried to run off.

 

Bamford & Ayling both completed 45 mins...let's see if they come out for the second half.

 

Lost 3-2 and City were down to 10 men as well.

Bamford played the full match but looked well below being ready for the first team.

 

Been out at hospital all afternoon just back in to see Greenwood scored a brace and becomes leading scorer but yet another loss. First team injuries killing our season in this league and now in a relegation fight.

Apparently the Hjelde injury at half time meant a decision had to be made on who was going to play the entire 90. Summerville, Ayling and Bamford, the intention was 45 minutes each, Joffy was going to get 45 minutes for Bamford. The decision was made to leave Bamford on for the entire 90. I find that strange after a long lay off and sad as it means Joffy isn’t the intended starter for tonight unless it’s some elaborate double bluff

 

Looked at the player ratings and the players marked as 7&8 were Kenneh, Bate, Greenwood, Summerville and Ayling. Paddy only got a 6 but that was all about fitness for him and apparently he had a 20yd screamer ruled out. Klaesson made some errors again and even Cresswell doing his 45mins made a screw up too.

Looking forward to a full first team squad so that we can field a full 23s team for a change and we may be able to save the season and not get relegated. Not won for 8 games now

 

I am hoping we can keep this team on the pitch all match, maybe with McGurk adding some killer passes to compliment Lew Bate
