Southwell 12.55 Another Theatre Impressive course winner over hurdles last year. On a career-low mark now and stable amongst the winners last 14 days. Philip Kirby has a good each way record at Southwell over jumps 41 - 5 - 11 PL 12.25 In handicap chases there 1 - 1 -1 PL 4.00 Another Theatre likes to race prominently so this bottom weight should be suited by a small field like this. Todays step up in trip could unlock some improvement too.
Sir Barney and his regular readers will no doubt be cheering on Bridal Knot in the Southwell bumper - this half-sister to Might Bite and Beat That certainly has a lovely pedigree and a lovely name for a filly.
It could be worth to start the day with a small each way bet on Affair in the opener at Lingfield. Has shown enough ability on the AW over the years and is on a career-low mark now. Hughie Morrison and Tom Marquand are in good form recently.
Newcastle 345 Roydmoor had a good first run at C/D back in Oct in a class 5 event , today sees similar circumstances but Roydmoor carries 5lbs less . The fav c/d winner lto runs plus 13lbs which should halt a double . Roydmoor is 10s so e/w friendly i did get 14s last night so there has been a bit of a nibble in the market .
Newcastle 445 Torn between oso rapido and maywake the bookies have it in this order but i fancy the latter first and at 9/2 i prefer the risk . I will watch the odds as i may have a small r/f
Newcastle 515 Broctune red at 13/2 I do like the look of thaayer and if Mulrennan had been booked i would not of hesitated especially with 33s on the board . Mulrennan has however been put in the plate by Goldie in the 545 on Oriental lily at 9/2 . I fancy orientals chances in this and it would be no suprise if Goldie wants Mulrennan full charged for this.
Yep it is spookily quiet. Unfortunately a number of those who used to post regularly are no longer with us and this means the banter on the daily thread has pretty much dried up. Sad really ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Not very often i get time to look in and yesterday seeing Reeboks sons post was upsetting . Are Nass Wolly and Stick still posting there are obv too many to ask about i may try to find an hour to go back on a few Saturday posts to see who is still around .
