<laugh> Looking like the lowest league crowd so far this season on Saturday, too. Just over 25K sold currently.

4 homes games in the next 11 days. 4 wins would be splendiferous

Reading through RTBs intro and what quotes of LJs he uses, I reckon LJ reads this forum, he has picked up some points we all have made, about do we have wing backs?, or wingers that can track back? or 3 or 4 at the back and the problem of having square pegs in round holes!

It got me wondering what other advice we could give him...

We need to work on stopping crosses coming in!

    We seem better without Evans?

Thanks again RTB for setting up these threads, I would like to see the team made up from the U23 as you have posted, with minimum involvement from the first team squad to keep the organisers happy. I liked the five subs rule last year and would welcome it back with open arms in our position.

I think the chopping and changing the team with u23s filling in for first team members in earlier cup games had an effect on the form in the league so I would rather take the fine and have the u23s play this game and let the first team rest their legs for Saturday. If they win great, if not, then it's a good experience for them. Great thread as usual RTB, what would we do without you?

Play the kids, take the fine and we move on, should win it regardless but like others do I really care?

He should be using this game to try a different formation and tactics, but he probably won’t.

What would be the point in that when it's not the first team players?

There is still a winner, after the penalties, but I think if we were placing the bets we would have to half the odds.

I will not be calling for Lee Johnson to get sacked if we get beat.

Hope we win but honestly not arsed if we dont

BTW I think we will win 2-0

When Speakman first came in, he said that we would develop a style of play which was replicated across all levels from the Academy to the First Team. They can work on a change of system on the training field, but they also need to try the system in a match situation to see if the system is working or needs tweeking. Seems like the perfect match in which to experiment to me.

What @Bank of England 2 said.

Would at least give him a chance to tweak areas that are definitely not working. Like scoring goals, basic defending etc.
