I get the feeling it's less that they're happening more, and more a case of incidents being responded to correctly by the clubs

A few years ago incidents like this didn't see the games suspended, as happened at Brighton in 2018, Everton in 2016 or Spurs in 2012, now clubs are responding by reacting to a fan collapsing the exact same way they would if a player collapsed, and that's an advance

    Yeah that’s definitely an advance.

Just seems crazy to have 2 in 1 night. Unfortunately a lot of people on social media are again blaming (without evidence) vaccines etc

I think we lost a lot of our fight when he left.

Losing him and Lamela has left us with precious few willing to actually get stuck in

Romero seems to enjoy getting stuck in but he’s injured

Expect more from Hojberg…I don’t see enough of the Viking DNA in his game…lotsa shouting though

You ever wanna know the plight of Spurs, some fans are missing Sissoko…

    Dark times.

Good bloke and had a blinding season in 18/19 but that’s about it. Hojbjerg and Skipp have a lot of fight, as does Dier and Romero (albeit he’s ****ed now), it’s talent we’re lacking in a number of areas.

Skipp is a young player learning his trade.
Dier has no fight ... shouts and throws his arms around but usually to disguise the fact he's playing ****...again!

Sissoko in 2017-19 and lamela (when fit) could lift the team with a hefty table of good run or by pissing off the opposition fans.

    2016-18 was fantastic for that.
Dier, Dele, Chadli, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Sissoko, Walker, Rose and Lamela used to all get stuck in...no we just wilt under any physicality

Doesn’t matter if Skipp’s young, he gets stuck in and doesn’t shy from anything.

Dier does fight, he’s not a great player any more but can’t knock his fight, always willing to put his body on the line.

Sissoko was often on the bench in 2017, it was the 18/19 season where he excelled.

    Chadli left in 2016.

    Get you Mr picky!

Put Chadli in cos he wasn't sold til the summer.

    Sissoko still played in 17/18.

I don't remember Dier lifting the crowd or the team with a tackle or a gut busting run or a ruck since we were at wembly tbh.

The reason I listed them from 16-18 was to show how few we know have.

We were reliant on one or two and to be honest if we are counting on skipp who has had maybe a dozen prem games to raise us it shows how few fighters we have.

Chadli never really had fight though, I never wanted him to leave as he was a baller but he was one of the last players to put their foot in. Silky bastard but definitely not a fighter.

Yeah Sissoko still played but roughly the equivalent to less than half a match per game in the Prem. 18/19 was where he won our Legend’s POTY and became a cult hero from then on.

I honestly can’t knock Dier’s fight, he’s nowhere near the player he was but he’ll always happily put his head into rocket. Won’t shy away from the cause even if he’s a fraction of the player he once was.

I don’t think fight is our issue though, it’s talent. Most of our squad players clearly can’t step up as we’ve seen already, there’s a massive lack of creativity in midfield, our CBs aren’t great and Lucas is no better than a squad option.

Ndombele is supposed to be that midfielder…I thought he’s got the skills?

but he definitely lacks the fight and minerals in general…that stuff you can’t teach

Probably don’t lack the fight when it comes to defeating a bargain bucket from KFC on his own.

Sissoko was an truly awful footballer and Lamela was a sicknote who was a hot head.

Both tried their best but they’re definitely not what this current squad is missing.

This squad needs players that can play football and are good technically.

Spurs are missing Eriksen more than anyone.

Definitely miss that majestic bastard. And Dembele.

Players who could actually play the beautiful game and indeed make it beautiful.

Yeah Dembele too, players that could pass and dribble, they also made the likes of Dele look good and created (especially Eriksen) so many chances for Kane and Son.

Totally agree. For all their faults and inadequacies, the likes of Moussa and Lamela gave everything every game.
Funny how they - and Etienne Capoue - have thrived at their new clubs.
