First at Newcastle see Jomont going for the double at c/d , jomont went well lto and having seen the others the race is there . My only concern is the booking of Beasley but all in all lifes a gamble and 6/4 looks a fair price.
I think Connor Beasley is a really good jockey. Underrated too. Him, Daniel Muscutt and Angus Villiers are three very good flat jockeys who fly under the radar.

I don't want to get my hopes up but they do seem to have found a bit of consistency in the league. Before the season kicked off i'd have had them more for relegation than promotion but Moore seems to have steadied the ship a bit and hopefully they can push on and mount a serious challenge. Bugger of a league to get out of, doesn't seem like two minutes since we were last in it. Took Ched Evans to go all rapey to help us out last time.
Hello, all. Hope everyone well. No bet for me, of the morrow, but despite that must say I am absolutely fascinated by tomorrow's racing. In the big heat will the hype re Brave Kingdom be justified??? Has Mr Nicholls got another superstar on his hands??? Or will Kim 'Ivy' Bailey's Fair Frontieres put up a winning performance??? He romped in by no less than 41 lengths last time. The 2 races that really intrigue me though are Sandown's Pertemps Qualifier (3.35) and Exeter's novice chase (2.05). The former looks, as usual, to contain more plots than an Agatha Christie novel and should prove highly informative. The big question, as always in theses events, must be who will finish 6th?!? In a way though am quite surprised that ITV will be broadcasting this event as ITV 'Daytime' doesn't normally do skulduggery, underhandedness, deceit and outright deception - all of which, you can guarantee, will be contained within a Pertemps Qualifier. At any rate they haven't broadcast any of those traits since that old girl off 'Loose Women' claimed to still be in her 40's! Meanwhile, I said on Wednesday's 'Daily Thread' how excited I was about Exeter's above race and that remains very, very much the case. Adrimel for Tom 'Fast Pacey' Lacey against Harry Fry's Boothill is I think a scintillating clash and one to watch with the old notebook. Both are potentially high class animals. I personally, right now, can't split them and those bookie chappies haven't got them much apart either offering 5/4 Boothill, 7/4 Adrimel. Look I know I've supplied more questions than answers in this post (Saturday I hope to supply more in the way of answers as I like a lot of horses) but hope tomorrow will be really informative and go a long way to really kick-starting the old term. Good luck, team.
Morning, hope everyone is well. A lunchtime patent from Exeter 12.25 voyburg 12.55 mot a mot 1.30 bangers and cash Good luck Cheers.
This is a nice Grade 2 and the presence of Lossiemouth (official rating 136 earned the hard way) should help when assessing the form post-race. The one I like is Dan Skelton's Viva Lavilla who powered all the way up the Lingfield straight on hurdles debut. I'm wary of the Brave Kingdom form because I think Gavin Sheehan (good to see him keeping the ride) stole the race from the front somewhat. Fair Frontieres was visually impressive but that was a slog in very testing ground so I am going for a bit of value at 10/1 with the Skelton horse.
Sandown 12.45 Count Meribel Very well handicapped and could rediscover some form after a comeback run over hurdles last time out. Nigel Twiston Davies has his yard in really good form at the moment and Zac Baker is always a rider worth to side with in amateur rider events. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets Count Meribel into a good rythm from the front. A bit of market support can be seen at the moment.
Caught my eye yesterday when perusing the cards. Only 3 years ago he beat Le Breuil in a novices chase at Cheltenham to earn a BHA rating of 148. He's clearly had his issues since but he must be dangerous here off 126 and this is Zach Baker's first go on him. Best of luck
The one that catches my eye is the top weight valadom won lto so a lay off doesn’t concern me and in a tight handicap the 7lb claimer could make all the difference.
Kilcruit set to commence his hurdling career at Cork on Sunday (12.10). Needs remembering re this one that he isn't a young horse (will be almost 7 when he jumps timber for the first time on a racecourse) so will connections be tempted to go into 'open' company sooner rather than latter if he puts in a sensational debut performance?!? Makes you wonder...
Nothing if not consistent - but as Stick recently pointed out, the 7lbs claim is there for a reason. She doesn't ride very often (but does have a 100% strike rate over fences - 1 from 1)
