Exactly give NP his windows he can be judged then by his doubters.

Mate 40% of that was in their own area faffing around with the ball, they never even managed a shot in the first half.

A very good first half but the game should have been well won by then. Martin missed a sitter, but on the plus side he won more than his fair share of knock on's that especially released Weimann on the right throughout the first half, Weimann was frustrating he snatched at a reasonable chance and put it high over the bar and his short passing was poor but his crossing from wide positions was really good. Semenyo missed another great chance but was dangerous for the first 35 minutes, I thought he ran out of steam around that point and was rightly subbed.

I see some say that ODowda played really well I thought he was no more than ok, his first touch was appalling today and his crossing was as usual poor, but I have to say that he at least looks committed and that's a plus. Massengo was great in the first half and not so good in the second again his passing wasn't great. Bakinson was his usual waste of space and Vyner after a reasonable first half was shocking in the second and looked destined or determined to cost us a goal.

We have this annoying habit over complicating our final ball from incredibly good positions, something we did throughout the game.

And apparently the knobhead referee was a premiership referee, he was shocking throughout.

I agree with most of that, although a bit of a tough comment on Weimann’s “snatch” shot, best striker in the world wouldn’t have got to that..imo.
I notice that Massengo is much better when we play like we did in the first half, more high pressing.. like me, he seems he doesn’t like the sitting on a lead tactic that NP insists on using. (Loses his way a bit)
Can’t believe the miss by Martin which was laid on a plate by O’Dowda.. (assist quality) who imo was one of our best players on the day (consistent over 3 games).
Seems like NP’s tactics are set in concrete, which is a shame imo, we look so much better pressing and closing down from the front..

I am surprised that we win any games with our sort of possession rates at 40% or lower and if you add in that we need better midfield control, combined with someone who can put the ball in the net, before we have any chance of improving then you can see why we are where we are. I liked some of our link up play today and Massengo played a key role in that but like others out there his level of play went in the tank during the second half. Why on earth Bakinson ever gets a game is beyond my comprehension because he is essentially lazy, doesn't tackle well and contributes little, if anything. As you say onefor we do well when we press and even the commentator on Robins TV (Brian Tinnion?) said exactly the same today and yet the minute Derby perked up we went back to being shaky in defence.

There must be some heads on the chopping block but who would be interested in taking them for any kind of money is the biggest question and even further is who might come here with experience and salary demands that don't break the bank? I must be honest in saying that I expected more from NP in his organization of what I tended to believe was actually not a bad squad but these ongoing issues with tactics etc are making me nervous. The January transfer window should show us the colour of his expertise and footballing nous because we are still a very long way from the expectations of the supporters. Is it possible that our potential dealings in the transfer market will change what, let's face it are dreadful setups and tactics, or will we continue to play in the same old boring frustrating manner? Time alone will tell the true story.

Seems like NP's tactics with these players are set in stone and I can only see players coming in January will compliment his style... I hope I'm wrong.....
My stream was from Rams TV (for some reason) and the commentators on there thought our goal was against the run of play, we were there for the taking, just that they lacked quality in front of goal....thought it a bit odd that we were happy to hold on to that one goal lead..

Goal against the run of play? my arse. They never had one shot on or off target in the whole of the first half, which if memory serves was when we scored.

And you will or Rams TV will also have to remind me of any save that Bentley had to make in the whole game, because I cannot remember one.

Calm down.. I agree with you.. I was only relaying what was said..
But the dangerous game we play, any decent forward line could of led to a completely different score line..

Certainly didn't come across like that.

It wasn't great in the 2nd half, I cannot believe for one second that the message at halftime would have been anything other than more of the same, but we do have this habit of dropping off in 2nd half of games. But as I said at the end of the game it's more about 3 points than performances in the position that we are in.

IMHO this is going to be the biggest January window in a generation and will prove how committed our owner actually is, no matter how difficult January windows are supposed to be and in the past since our promotion to the championship they have been abject and totally uninspiring and even unhelpful.

Unless Onefor edited his post, it did come across as the Derby commentator talking ****e.
Just seen the highlights and the ball was running away from Weinmann so I won’t class that as a bad miss like Martins especially. Semenyo’s was a bad one but in his defence he had a player closing him down, but still should have been on target.

like SheffU or about 16 of the better teams in the division.
we are actually doing what I said a few seasons ago [ when nearer bottom than top ] ..you need to beat the teams around you ... or at least draw ... CARDIFFF,READING,PETERBRO, BARNSLEY,DERBY and an isolated win against QPR ..
OUR 5 DRAWS are at home ..Blackburn Fulham Luton PNE Bpool 3 in top 6 and 2 mid division ... so whilst it is all looking "bleak" any win of the 9 losses would put us 9th =
Whilst my "prediction" of sneaking into top 6 [ accounting for a win at SheffU] before JANUARY is not exactly dead ... we could be playing musical chairs with 3 or 4 teams by mid January ....!

I said Weimann's was a reasonable chance and I stand by that, it has to go down as a chance.

The most annoying factor all game was yet again the amount of times that we engineered really good positions in and around the box and tried little flicks, unnecessary lofted passes or Hollywood passes.

Bleak? some of the performances might be bleak but, your post is all about stats and possibilities, 10 points off of relegation and 7 off of top 6 is not bleak within a stats scenario.

This will tell us where we’re at under the Lansdowns.
Personally don’t think NP would have taken the job without assurances going forward.

You just like having a dig.. the commentators on Ram tv did not reflect my thoughts but was their take on things compared to what was said on Robins TV which Mike was referring too.. so you can rest easy!
I think the message at HT was to defend that lead but look to break.. which is becoming all too well familiar imo.

As to the January window, for me I will be looking for the type of players NP will be looking at and if he’s looking to fit to the system/tactics we are currently using or if he’s got it in him to change things up..
