I see Mark Ashton has been active today as well. Paul Cook: Ipswich Town sack boss after nine months at League One club https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59536079
I seem to remember his dad doing that, or something similar once at Ashton Gate. A ‘fan’ behind the dugout had been giving GJ verbal abuse all through the game non-stop since kickoff and GJ lost it with him. The wrong thing to do - they should be above that - but they are human after all. Bad llama Lee - don’t do it again.
I have never LIKED Mark Ashton, but for a while I was impressed with some of his deals - near the start of LJs tenure. He seemed have an eye for a deal back then. I’m talking about signing Webster in particular. However it all went belly-up from then on. He’s poison.
Fk knows Jiffie. I think that LJ was fed signings by Ashton. Some were good and some bad. Kent and Palmer in particular spring to mind. However, if true then why did LJ still give Diony game time? Who knows? maybe we will have to wait for the book?
didnt seem that offensive!!! could be construed as a wave looked like he was wearing gloves? so unless right near him wouldnt like to say !
Off of their fans forum ~ Yesterday at 5:28 PM #39 ScottDuffman said: Gave LJ abuse and is crying cause he got a bit back… what a tit All he shouted was ‘that was ****e Johnson’ and he turned round and flicked the Vs which infuriated the bloke who then waited to give him a proper volley after. Johnson escalated it unnecessarily. But both obviously frustrated
whats SC got to do with LJ waving his arm or a finger [ about 1.8 secs worth] v a torrent of foul mouth language that should have been kept to a less public place. CONSTRUED was it a gesture that we see often [ with fingers clenched, together, apart, ] when someone "storms off / walks away / doesnt want to argue etc " OR was it a determined in your face stanced arm up with fingers raised!... no.. on a scale of "worst" 1 NOT 10 BAD ... SC 9 LJ 2 ... [ 1 point should not do it and 1 point was baited ]
So Cotts was not baited? And what’s it got to do with it, is only yesterday you was saying it should not have happened as it was in front on kids and possibly SL and directors (sitting in the Atyeo) but what’s not to say kids could not see LJ. You’re making excuses for one but not for the other.
First time I've looked at League 1 for a couple of months...2 points off the top with a game or two in hand and some of Sunderland fans are moaning......funny old game in it!!
Football fans always moan - just look at ourselves - top half of the table for most of the previous 4 years and you would still find moaning and anti-manager talk on the forums. It's just how some fans are. It's best ignored - and LJ should know that by now. He let himself down on this occasion by reacting.
