Good Morning. It's Monday 6th December, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Last gasp Bamford strike saves Leeds

A predatory strike from Patrick Bamford, deep into injury time spared Leeds blushes, and created a six point buffer between themselves and the drop zone. With seconds left on the clock, Raphinha's in-swinging corner was flicked on by Ayling, and Bamford was at the back post to stab the ball home from close range, sending a packed out Elland Road into jubilation.

The Whites took the lead on 27 minutes. Raphinha's teasing ball from the left was met by Tyler Roberts. His outstretched leg guided the ball past the despairing dive of Spanish shot stopper Álvaro Fernández, and over the line. Unfortunately, as with so many occasions this season, their lead would not last. Baptiste's strike from the edge of the box (54 mins), followed five minutes later by a thunderbolt from closes range, courtesy of Canos, turned the game on its head.

In truth, Leeds were good value for their draw, and with a little more creativity, could have grabbed all three points. They dominated the statistics too, but were unable to conjure up the kind of magic needed to unlock defences. Hopefully with Bamford back, dominance can turn into goals!

Leeds win race for Mateo Joseph Fernandez

Leeds have won the race to sign Espanyol's youth sensation Mateo Joseph Fernandez according to the Daily Mail. The 18yo forward had already caught the eye of Liverpool, Arsenal, Barcelona and Manchester City, but Victor Orta's influence paid dividends for the Whites. A fee of £420,000 is believed to be agreed between both parties (plus add ons), a far cry from the player's true worth. With only months left on his contract, and a rift developing between club and player, Espanyol have decided to cash in on their academy star.

Do the ref's have it in for Leeds

It's very easy to blame the man (on woman) in black when things go wrong on the field. We've seen some crazy decisions in the past, with Leeds normally at the wrong end of a decision, but in this day of age, do referee's have it in for Leeds?

Below are the official referee's stats, judging every Leeds game this season (and their opponents). According to the statistics, Leeds are the most aggressive top flight club this season, having been branded 41 yellow cards this term so far, followed by Newcastle and Brighton with 36.

    Morning all,

Not for the first time this season injuries have coat us points. From being in control of the game and ahead we saw an injury to one of our key players giving Brentford the chance to take advantage of the time it to the team to reorganise. This after already rearranging after losing our captain early on.

Big congrats to Tyler Roberts. Whatever has clicked with him this last two weeks long may it continue, he is answering a few of his critics at the moment.

Nice to see Ayling come back and look like he has never been away. Same with Bamford. He showed that a top striker just needs one chance. Imagine how different some of the results, points and league tables would be if he hadn't missed 11 games.

This is getting said game after game now but how good is Forshaw? He has come back from two years off and is playing like prime Iniesta. Outstanding.

Lot of talk from pundits about Leeds suffering second season syndrome and comparing us with Sheff utd. These last few results, to me, have shown the big differences.

Sheffields form last season was awful. They were losing nearly every game and looked awful with very little fight in them.
Leeds have suffered with injuries on a level few teams could cope with. We haven't looked our best by any means but we have been picking up point. More importantly we are picming up points late in games. The quality may be lacking but the fight is there. As long as we have the fight we can work on the quality.

Yesterday about summed our season up. Looked our best at times, looked lost and disorganised at other times but the team spirit gets us over the line in the end.

    Morning all.

Credit to Bamford for being in the right place at the right time but he did completely mistime the ball, it bounced off his knee and was lucky not to go over the bar. I’m not knocking him but the fine margin between hero and villain favoured him this time.

I don’t understand why have Cresswell on the bench yet have no intention of playing him when a CB goes off, I feel it was two points lost.

I just hope we play our best starting 11 against Chelsea in their best positions. Deep down I’m feeling we’ll see Ayling at CB, Roberts dropped back to number 10 and Dallas will probably start RB before being switched to CM then finish the game at LB

Sorry if this sounds negative to a few but results haven’t been there, we’re entering a vital spell and many of the formations and team selections have been questionable.

Hemase mentioned the blunts form last season, but one thing is different and thats Newcastle are now playing football and will win more games under Eddie Howe and thats before he spends big next month. Dean Smith has Norwich playing well too so no surprise if they manage to scrape points together. Burnley always tend to do just enough, so the bottom 3 are now all on ten points. Brighton a team who are always involved in the relegation battle have already scored 20 points with 23 games left to play, so they are looking safe. We need to get some more points on the board fast to keep us above the battle below.

The other talking point from yesterday was Victor Orta wanting to rip someones head off. He went mental in the directors box with Angus Kinnear and others holding Victor back. Would love to know who upset him. Bamford had just equalised when it kicked off

I open up the newspaper football pull out and the main story regarding our match is not the result but the missile pelted at Canos.

Now I don't agree with throwing things at players but he knew what he was doing celebrating in front of the kop like that. He also went down like he was hurt and one he knew the ref was aware of it got up laughing. He really is a cnut.

But the media are happy now, they can turn up the dirty Leeds narrative. Apparently we are already in trouble for the homophobic chanting during the palace game.

Also the issue of kit clashing is now being discussed by the authorities after the Brighton game.

Is this the first time a kit clash has happened?
Is this the first time a missile has been thrown by fans?
Is this the first time homophobic chanting has happened at a match?
No, but it's Leeds United and therefore it is more of an issue.
I don't want to get into conspiracy theory territory but just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get you.

    I totally agree with Hamase.

I just watched part of the All Leeds TV post match and the two guys are livid. One said, "I blame that Argentinian Manager!"

Those who want rid of Bielsa, who would you replace him with? Don't say Pochetino because he wouldn't cone to Leeds.
We've been there before with Christensen, Hockaday and Heckingbottom. There is no magic wand.
    ****ing nonsense

Liverpool fans sang exactly the same song towards him, not a dickie bird was said.

If you want to watch a good post match review check out the Square Ball.

All Leeds TV are our version of arsenal fan TV. Sensationalist bollocks trying to create content. There are horrible pieces of work with a sense of importance after featuring in the Amazon documentary.

It’s just because you’re more aware of your own clubs headlines than other teams. It’s the same with poor refereeing, other fans complain just as much as us about poor decisions.

When it comes to online reporting it’s all about getting clicks and reviews, media companies want to entice a response, they won’t get many by match reporting but picking out the other bits to pick to pieces gets clicks

It was mate it went noticed by Liverpool fans, non pool fans just didn’t care. I noticed tons on Social Media about it if you’re talking of the Billy Gilmour incident and Sky we’re all over it.

Remember though, it was the Rainbow Laces campaign this weekend so it was ill timed for the chanting

Already today the clickbait media are touting pundit claims that Phillips will never agree and new contract or that Phillips has had his head turned. Also loads of shyt that Bielsa is leaving and who the new guy coming in is.
