Really looking forward to it. Before covid, I used to bring the bairn up from Essex every couple of weeks for a match. He's now lost all interest, but after I forced him to watch the QPR game, he's a bit more interested, to the point he actually asked of we could go to this. Got our tickets in Monday, front row, just along from the goal. He'll take his (unlucky) tin foil trophy with him. He even said last night "I know we'll get stuffed, but it's OK as long as I can have a steak pie." Good lad
Not sure if anyone still after tickets, got 1 adult 2 kids all together......slight complication if anyone interested will explain if PM
Sorry I can't help this time, this is a message I sent by pm yesterday, it's the best advice I can give for you or anyone else. "Hi mate, I've just put the phone down after an hour with ****** trying to sort a few things out. He's still short although I've just sent him my last two. I also sorted him 5 in the Arsenal section which he still has. Lots of Sunderland have been buying home section tickets so I'll go in there if I need to, I have an Arsenal contact who'd get me in. Chris Waters has asked Arsenal, three times, for more tickets but no luck. What I'm hoping is that Arsenal will realise Sunderland are buying home tickets and release a few hundred from the segregation area. The sad thing is that, at that time of year, there'll be hundreds of tourists looking for tickets which won't help. I won't string you along by saying I'll help as I probably can't tbh. ****** keeps snapping up returns so my best advice would be to keep checking the website as often as you can. Obviously I'll get back to you if I can but, unusually, I don't have any current options. Also, there will be spares on the night imo, they were cheap so people will have bought them just for the points. All the best and good luck mate, cheers Smug
Ok mate thanks, sounds like it will be worth waiting until nearer the time to see if something comes up. I don’t think the home section will sell out. Are you going?
I'm at our family pre-Christmas visit in Mansfield until the morning of the game. I have two parties, a panto and loads of people to see in four days. If I'm fit I'll be going to the game but can't be sure. I may have to drop Mrs Smug home near Cheltenham then drive over. At one time I'd have just gone but it's hard work driving everywhere on your own, no mates round here.
