He is injury prone though (and not just this season, though granted this season seems the worst), so I don’t find his injuries coincidental. And his few games for us was him getting back to fitness after a lengthy spell out having even missed pre-season, so not surprising he wasn’t looking himself AKA he was rusty. I think he was starting to get back up to speed before he went off on international duty and got injured again. Just seems like people jumping to conclusions and the usual social media overreaction to me. Didn’t TSP bring it up and ask Dan Sheldon a few months ago when it first came up, and he responded saying he was just injured? Ralph also isn’t the type to play a player if he wants out of the club so he wouldn’t have played him in those games in between his injuries. We’ll see I guess, though I doubt we’d sell him in January anyway.
I can’t really see where he would go, doubt many teams better than us would be trying to sign him given his age. If he is homesick it makes some sense but as he is an important player for us we would want some decent compensation and I can’t see Celtic being able to pay what we would want (or Rangers if he would even entertain that move). How long has he got left on his contract? I seem to recall him signing a new one not that long ago
Leandro Trossard Arm/Elbow Injury Dec 04: "It was an elbow, we don't think it was as bad as first thought. The early diagnosis is a bit more positive, we will have to see how it goes over the next day or so." Looks like we had 10 minutes extra time for Nathan Redmond's savage assault on Trossards funny bone?
They have to take those things seriously. Trossard had no feeling in his arm, per his agent, and if there's nerve damage or dislocation in the joint, moving it further could make it permanent. Hence the air cast and all the precautions.
If you have ever had a large bang on the funny bone you will appreciate how painful and nauseous it is, but it is the first time I have ever seen a player stretchered off, for an elbow injury!
Especially considering it only happened because he threw himself to the floor to con the ref into another cheap free kick.
