So Everton have spent a significant amount of money over the last 4 years and don’t seem to be any further forward.

They invested in players which was right but what they didn’t appear to do is invest in the infrastructure of the club to generate new young players.

They also seem to have failed to significantly raise commercial income in line with the player spends so FFP is killing them now. They have raised it mind. But not in line with spends.

We need to remember the mistakes they have made and build everything up as we go along. Investment in players and staff and management.

Plus the training ground and youth setup.

We may be the richest club in the planet but without balancing the books we won’t get far.

We have to learn from their mistakes.

And one of the main reasons for this commercial growth. Usm holdings. Guess who is an owner: you guessed it. Moshiri. £30m for stadium naming rights per year.

Interesting that eh since Everton are one of the clubs trying to block our own commercial activities.

Wonder how many other clubs have done this.

A rise of almost 104 per cent from £26m to £76m was able to mitigate the financial impact to an extent, with much of the increase coming through the £30m stadium naming rights deal for the proposed Bramley Moore Dock development that was signed with USM Holdings in January of 2020.

The club were also able to negotiate better deals with existing partners MegaFon and Fratelli Beretta.

Basically, they should just give money to the people who know about ****ing football and stay out of signings unlike Cashley.

Here’s a lovely article to back up the spends.

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...-scale-transfer-disasters-Farhad-Moshiri.html

This isn’t a dig at Everton. It is basically a “let’s do this right” lads post.

And if anyone else can dig up other clubs related party transactions I am more than happy to have them listed in this thread. If anything to prove the Premier Leagues attempts to change the rules and be anti-competitive.

Invite your mates to have their day from other clubs if you want.

@Tobes Hope your ok with this thread. More than happy with your input to see if I’m wrong about things. I come in peace.

I’m almost certain all the top clubs sponsorship deals are linked to related parties.

I think the notion that the PL can block it is just current delay tactics and wouldn’t surprise me if they extend the current embargo till the end of January.

Having said that it won’t affect things short term.
