This was Viera’s issue with him. Lots of talent but doesn’t actually play as a team player.

Makes you wonder if there is time for him to learn the right time to keep it simple.

Sometimes him doing what he does nullifies the other players efforts. They make runs and he doesn’t deliver at the right time. Meaning they have to check and check and then ultimately they give up.

We could end up getting a couple of lucky points over the coming month, which would be great - but I’m NOT going to get excited about a run of losses now… I’ll ‘expect’ losses and will be most keenly watching the results of others and the gap that might or might not develop - as long as we stay within 6-9 points of 17th then I’m staying optimistic about what can happen from the Jan window onwards.

That was a massive 3 points yesterday - it’s all about not getting cut too far adrift now for me. **** statistics and **** ‘bottom on Christmas Day’ type records - we can break the mould on those.

Keep your teeth gritted and ignore our expected results for the next few weeks…. they’re battles, it’s the War that matters

Did anyone see Tarkowski's post match interview? Might as well have been holding up his fresh new toon top for the camera's.

Pretty much, goal should have counted, they would have been pissed off if they hadn't been given it, the crowd were superb once we scored and lifted our players and seen us over the line, that the stadium is magnificent and always full. Felt they had done alright till the goal but once it went in the crowd became confident.

Max ain’t a left midfielder. That’s the problem, and why he’s less effective. We’ve had this same thing with Robert, Ginola, Ben Arfa, of expecting them to track back,

if we move to 4231 or 433 we’ll see him play better.

Relatively speaking though, he was part of a defence when we were competing at the top end of the league. So just how bad does that make all the defenders we've had since :emoticon-0104-surpr

I think there was plenty of ability there footballing wise, I think the problem is there was nothing between his lugs. He seemed thick as ****. Hence his decision making and the clangers he'd drop.

I think the problem is different. The issue is where we are as a club. We aren't very good so don't have loads of possession. That inevitably means you need everyone contributing defensively because that's what you're doing the majority of the time. We need to get better in midfield, and when we don't have the ball pressing wise, to enable us to get ASM into better areas where his real talent lies.

One thing is for sure though, he needs to improve his attitude. All this throwing your arms up in the air, not tracking back when you lose the ball, and generally having terrible body language isn't going to work. He will never cut it here unless he toughens up like big Joe has. He too used to sit on his arse waving his arms and shouting to the ref. But he's wised up and realised he might as well adapt or leave. ASM needs to do likewise and I've ran out of excuses for some of it, its pathetic.

Said it for a while now, ASM is a luxury player, WAY to good for our current predicament and more suited to a Liverpool/Man City team who have 70+% possession and a dynamic set of midfielders behind him who can do the hard yards for him when the ball is with the other team.

A player for a relegation scrap he is not BUT he can deliver a moment of magic or quality to win a game. None of our players could have even seen that little dinked ball to Wilson on Saturday and then have the ability to actually play it but apart from that he was fairly anonymous and certainly not much help defending. I do think he is class though, especially going forwards but I keep saying it, bench him, get him on at 60-70 mins to run rings around shattered defenders (especially top half teams) - he'll pick up fouls, break up play and then cards (hopefully second yellows/red) for the opposition.

Where can i find that video?

I can't see it on the official site or youtube
He is one of the reasons we didn't finish even higher and maybe win the league.

And look at schars leg. It’s gushing with blood. It’s even on his socks.

And I reckon It’s Willocks turn to get in the big blue plastic box to the left. That’s what they are all really celebrating.
