Interesting that Lizzie Kelly see's it all differently to Bryony. Then again, they never have actually had the same standards have they.
18 months ban - sends a very clear message. Shame the Irish authorities didn't do the same with Gordon Elliott.
He also said something about husbands and wife shouting and swearing at each other every evening. If he believes that is normal, I pity his wife. Female valets are long overdue and racecourses need to ensure all facilities are available to everyone - if that means building a new sauna so there is one make, one female so be it - my understanding is most saunas are attached the male changing room. They also need to ensure male and female physios are present at every meeting, it’s basic safeguarding to ensure no woman is put in a position of being alone with a man. It’s not sexism, it’s acknowledgment of the reality that women are assaulted and abused on a daily basis and that certain elements of society find violence directed at women and girls as acceptable.
First thing they should do is get rid of all saunas, declare the covid 6lb weight increase permanent and start putting the correct weight on the cards. a jockey today stated their last meal was Wednesday lunchtime. How is that acceptable?

I read this earlier and it’s pretty depressing reading isnt it. Zero empathy, women can be stroppy etc etc. The problem for Bryony is he’s almost certainly representative of many in NH racing. I saw a far more balanced article by Nancy Van Short. Worth a read.
