Oh aye, don't blame (not that I'm blaming anyone) those with a massive trip but there were thousands missing last night. Just thought it was weird

We are starting to look like our early season selves, the confidence is starting to ooze through the lads again, you can see them trying things that a few weeks ago they were maybe too frightened to try. Pritchard & Broadhead are both looking like a league above now and Dan Neil could be anything he wants if he keeps himself grounded and keeps putting in the graft. I was really pleased that Stewart got back in the goals, him and Broadhead are head and shoulders above any other strike partnership in this league, if we keep creating they will both bag 20 plus this season. Well done lads and staff.

're Dan Neil, first time I've seen him live and was impressed, he has it all and when he sat their defender on his arse for Pritchard 's goal it was pure class.
Son in law whose a big Liverpool fan was also impressed by his movement off the ball as well as with it.
Neil can go all the way it's just down to him to stay grounded as others have already said.
You can only beat what's in front of you and we did that last night in spades.
I also thought LJ used his subs properly last night, something he gets pelters for on here, overall a good night but as the opposition were generally poor I'm not getting carried away.

while true, how many times have we expected to gain points from the bottom clubs only to fall flat on our @rses?

i think this was one of the best performances so far and the whole squad need to watch it over and over because it shows what they are capable of, especially 2nd half there were some wonderful moves and passing play and i keep saying it but that 3rd goal in particular was a joy to watch.

He reminds me a bit of how Lee Clark played for us. He has that ability to look after the ball and play forward. Eye for a goal and assist too. Neil is still so young he can be anything. The role he played in Pritchards goal last night was premier league football.

Once the Christmas decorations go up night games seem to sometimes suffer. With two bigger home games either side I always thought this would be low tbh.

Highlight of the match for me that bit.

We seemed to be a lot tougher too, gave back as much as we got. For example when Wright knocked that lad on his arse in the second half, was always a foul but it was the attitude I liked.

Whilst it would be churlish to knock a 5-0.

A better side would have scored a couple with our defence's frailties...whilst Wright was okay as a right back, or right side CB in a 3, he did lack pace which was evident a couple if times. Also whilst Gooch was superb going forward ( 2 great assists)defensively he was poor, luckily they not have a right winger who could take advantage of this. Although granted LJ may have been aware if this and that's why he thought Gooch could do a stint ad LB/WB.

tell you what though lads, if those two 1st half chances had gone in/counted for them this could have been a hell of a different game...so again, i want to give credit to a team that came to the SoL, gave it a go and tried to play football without all the sh1thousery.

also notice how there have been no real comments on the ref, don't think he really got anything wrong, maybe a couple of pushes he might have given but the simple fact that two teams wanted to play made his job a lot easier.

so thank you morecombe, was nice to enjoy a game again, good luck in the future.

Good points... for once no really dodgy ref decisions and yes Morecambe were kind in missing a couple if easy chances in the 1st half. Although Stewart also missed a sitter!

aye, he had two or three you would normally bank on him putting away, probably scored the hardest one...think he has been 'snatching' at a few lately, one because the service not been there and also because he was on a wee bit of a goal drought.

Well said Sam, no diving or rolling about just came here and gave it a go.
As for the Ref your spot on, don't think there was a nasty challenge all game hence no cards.
Pity the Morecambe fans couldn't take it on the chin like their team did, but every club has a few arseholes.

I watched the stream, and Frankie commented on the fact that Djaku seemed to be in constant conversation with LJ in the first half, almost as if he was 'talking him through' the play. Maybe they've realised he needs a bit of help adjusting to our system, whatever it is he seemed much more focused last night, and caused their defence to panic a couple of times, so let's hope he keeps it going, I'd almost given up on him, but (like Pritchard) he looks better the more games he plays. I'd love to thing our 'blip' was over, and we go on a nice long run of wins now, it's the perfect stage of the season to get things ramped up, big crowds over the Christmas fixtures, maybe a couple of signings to add some sparkle, and the finishing line in sight in the new year. I'm crossing everything .

Spot on. The Pritchard goal. So many would’ve just “head down across goal” as the defender slid past. Even after that he saw a pass which most wouldn’t have and played it perfectly. Honestly Inieasta would’ve been proud of that vision.

I’m not comparing him to one of the worlds greatest CMs but there’s nothing to say he can’t get that far
