Alright lads after a good 3points on saturday against a side that we seem to love playing against in Bolton do we need to address the 2things I have mentioned in the heading in the next two transfer windows??

I have just seen the should we keep or sell Catts article and got me thinking about our lack of pace and creativity especially in the midfield area and that is a big problem on us climbing the table.

For me we have a nucleus of a good squad it just needs improving here and there and we need an injection of pace and creativity added all over the pitch

    Agree or Not?

I think that our biggest problem has been in the attacking third of the field. Our general play has been fine, but there has been very little end product. Hopefully Bruce will have finally grasped that 4-5-1 or 4-6-0 doesn't suit the players that we have, and the more attacking line up will lead to more goals being scored.

way Villa are playing and him coming out and not saying he likes were he has been played wouldn't be suprised if Brucie goes for him again in the summer if still at the club that is

I have had a good look at the league table. We have scored exactly the same amount of goals as Newcastle & have only conceded four more yet they are 10 points better off.

IMO, we have two problems. We give far too many free kicks away around the box as we did against Arsenal.

The other big problem is keeping possesion. We can't pass to our own players. Bolton almost equalised when Turner gave the ball away late on & he is the worst offender for that.

I sometimes wonder what they work on on the training pitches. Gardner too cannot pass for ****.

Surely these are things that can be easily corrected.

Where would you play Zog? He doesnt like playing on the left (where villa is playing him) and says he like playing on the right (where we have plenty of cover). I wouldnt want him here if he wont play left wing.

I think pressure is playing a big role on our players ability to play well. In the 2nd half they were relaxed and making good passes and build play until we scored, then we looked as nervous as hell and kept giving the ball away again. All down to the bad run and lack of confidence imo.

I think we should sign/loan Onouha to add some pace at right back and move O'shea in the middle to partner Brown as they know eachother's game well.

I think the wingers at present are as good as we can hope for with Sess on the left and Seb on the right. Seb doenst offer a lot of pace but he more than makes up for that in tackling/crossing and scoring goals. The problem is our depth, if Sess or Seb are injured then our team is weakened significantly.

I like the central midfield 2 of Colback & Vaughan but they do seem very similar and need to add somemore goals or attacking threat to their game.

Upfront we will be short if Bendtner is injured so we need cover. I would like Kalou from Chelsea but not sure how realistic this is due to wages/location etc.

Overall we arnt in too bad of shape really just like the OP says a few tweaks here and there, thought Ricco was decent again at left-back so hope hes growing into the role. January team,

    -----------------Mignolet---------------------

    Onouha-----O'shea----Brown-----Richardson

    Larsson----Colback----Vaughan----Sessegnon

    -------------Kalou-------------------------------

    ------------------------Bendtner----------------

I think you should forget about signing Onuoha. He has been saying for a long while now that because his mother has cancer he doesn't want to leave the north west. That is probably why he hasn't left Man City yet.
