He was always well liked when he played for us and when he commentated previously. To me it's the typical "mustn't be accused of being biased to my old club, so I'll go the other way" as well as crawl after the little favourite team. Wycombe are the "little team that dared to dream" according to a Sky commentator last season...

What I saw from us was a continuation of the style that will see us get promoted. First half was poor. Second half good.

We wasted so many chances but at least we are creating. And it’s not like the old days where we created loads without scoring against crap opposition, today we created loads against a good defence.

He was last match too. I know he isn't liked by most on here but I've only really paid any attention to him in our last two matches and he has been complimentary about our style, applauded Evans off the pitch (he was edging closer and closer in eagerness for showing his support of the player), I know his style is not what people want to see but as I've said before he is getting the best out of what he has.

So is he generally a unlikeable bloke or is it his style that gets people disliking him? If it was on what he looks like I'd get it, looks like a failed Rockstar who can't let go.

I'm thinking he might be but I'm probably just the minority on here.

It's a fine line but if we tighten up at the back and keep playing the way we are going forward, will storm this league

I agree with others could have won today but we haven't, most weekends creating that many chances will see us win by 2 or 3 and see the odd 5 or more win.

Decent game of football... On the evidence of this game, I would say Sunderland are quite definitely the team in the ascendency in this league, Wycombe depend on the physical side and are short on quality, yet they are up there. I would rather be in our position at the moment. Never been as confident about going up after this game.

I though we were tremendous in the second half really. Difficult week, and we might have scored three or four.

Even in injury time, we weren't hanging on and had most of it in their half. Just a boot up the pitch and a corner cost us, always a chance of that against teams like them. Think it was the first header they won direct from a cross or corner?

But if we can play like we did in the second half, we'll win a lot of games.

    Gutting not to win it.

But for context, they're third and were really fortunate to get a point at home. We've missed chances, the keeper has made saves, a few poor touches, a goal line clearance and the underside of the bar.

I'm still encouraged, we had lads out and played them off the pitch second half. We're a good side and will be amongst it.

Hmm, I had to go off for half an hour or what I posted might have got me banned.

They were the better side 1st half BUT their first goal should not have stood.. dreadful the officials allowed it. It cost us the game.

We were the better side 2nd half and wasted too many chances with poor first touches.

Stewart and Pritchard... men of the match.

    A frigging draw...grrrr

Hope Cory Evans not too badly injured.

Ref did the same 1st half. Stewart was fouled with 40 secs left then ref blew the whistle as soon as the kick was taken

right, calmed myself down a wee bit...first half they came back strong from going a goal down and they certainly 'won' it.

second half was ours easy and with a couple of better first touches we could have been easy winners.

don't think it was ever a penalty, there was contact but there was no trip or obstruction.

the ref should have shown a red for that tackle on ross stewart, he was off the ground, studs out and taking the player out and/or causing an injury the way he came right through the back of him...embletons tackle on scowen was as bad apart from it was a genuine attempt to get the ball but badly timed, could also have seen red.

still wondering how an offside player, holding the keeper, blocking his view and obstructing his movement was not given as a foul, 2nd half gooch is fouled just outside their box and the ref looks like he is about to blow but is waiting to see if an advantage, winchester than gets to the ball (has a slight tug on their player) and they get the foul?

lastly, akinfatboys assault on gooch near the end, had him around the neck swinging him round then wrapped his right arm around his neck and basically tried to throw him, not even a card.

an away draw against them the way they are playing is fair enough, no qualms with the final score but why does ainsworth have the team being complete dicks, all those stupid and pointless niggly little things that do not gain them any advantage, except to maybe try to wind an opponent up, when they are capable of some good football (hasten to add, like a few others in this league) it is really annoying to watch.

overall, a good game excellent support from the fans again, fair result.
