Completely agree. Perraud superb, Broja will get the plaudits. JWP should be MOTM. A word though for Diallo. He was immense in the middle.
We were incredible today, to a man, the whole team played bloody brilliantly. Hard to even call out individuals as everyone one was so good. One thing I do think though, there is always 1 team that get dragged into the relegation fight later on in the season. This year that team is Brentford, very amatuer defending today.
Mate, so sorry to hear this. Hopefully he is at peace now, and I hope he hears the score where he is.
Sorry for your loss mate. Saints winning helped me too when I lost a family member who was a saints fan. Sure they’re watching from somewhere.
The last time Saints scored 4, Tom had yet to start shaving, Chilco was about to get a promotion, we were still using G1 móbiles, Obama was still President, Brown the PM and COVID unheard. Great evening to be a Saints fan, especially Lincoln.
It would be great if Broja could not be quite this good until we sign him permanently. Seriously though, I worry Chelsea will either demand stupid money or maybe even give him a go in the first team next season.
So many great performances throughout the team Thought the three man midfield looked very strong and got stronger as the game went on. JWP was obviously amazing, what a tackle that was in the second half but a call out for Diallo who is growing into the roll
Yeah i just said, He was sure of Danny.. So i take it with a pinch of salt. Who knows though.. Especially with our new owners.
I'm still watching the post match on Supersport from South Africa. Tim Sherwood and Owen Hargreaves the pundits. Remarkably on point, insightful and detailed conversation about our club, our immediate position and what may lay ahead with the new owners. All clearly off the cuff but rooted in a knowledge of the game and how it works behind the scenes. Interestingly there was a consensus that the smart thing for Saints/Broja/Chelsea to do would be to make the loan permanent with a buy back clause. I may be high on the waft of a belter of a win but I can't recall watching a chat about us that was quite so, well, accurate.
Mine cut out before they got to that. Hopefully we can use the Abraham deal as a template and benchmark - as in a fee and then a buy back at at least double And you’d like to think the fee would be a little lower that Tammy’s He is going to want to play the majority of games next season. No matter how well he does for the rest of this that is extremely unlikely to be at Chelsea
Issue will be other PL teams who wouldn’t think twice about spending £30m on him, we almost certainly would
