? Is Hooper one of the really inexperienced ones? Meaning he will buckle for the big side pretty much instantly? I am not well versed on the refs other than most are now terrible
I see Marriner is 4th official, but is he getting many jobs in the middle, of late? I recently saw Keith Hackett, ex premier league ref of many years ago, slaughtering Marriner for being too slow to keep up with play and accusing him of guessing on big calls and having them overturned by VAR. Genuine question because I don’t know if he is as bad as Hackett implied.
Really is a completely different ballpark. Look at how quickly those numbers get into the millions. Brighton 10x higher… And Newcastle in second! Is that distorted by their 37m this window? They’d still be very high. All for a club that apparently never spent any money!
Is this actually accurate? It says we've had 103 arrivals since 2015, which works out at 14 new players a season, or 8 new players per transfer window since summer 2015? Maybe it takes into account academy players signing professional deals too?
If you take into account that of that expediture there was a total of £86m spent on Boufal, Clasie, Lemina, Hoedt, Carrillo and Gunn of which he had very little service out of and they left the club either on a free or peanuts then he has done an even better job.
It's not an international break, it's the Premier League's winter break. Apparently the FA are holding firm on no games taking place that weekend and the Premier League currently have no plans to reschedule any games but I guess that may change (Burnley are now 4/5 games behind after all)
That's pathetic. What's the point in a winter break when most clubs have basically had one with the postponements?
