Billy was a man at 18 but Bate needs a couple more years. Wayne Rooney was too it's how some people develop. The only test we have with u23s is playing in the prem. Him and Drameh did not impress and neither did greenwood. Creswell/joffy and hjelde looked the part. Central mid is still a problem for us.

spot on… we have to let the management team decide when and if they’re ready. It’s clear we’re seeing some ahead of schedule because if injuries

Think Bate looks a decent prospect, and maybe another season improving his physicality, we’ll end up with a good player. Unconvinced bout Greenwood and undecided on Drameh. Think all 3 lack physicality but might see a future for all 3 when they fully develop.

The US kid I have no knowledge of, but if the club think he’s worth it, great. In truth I didn’t expect us to do any business this window.

On the Burnley situation, I think having to play so many games will hurt them (even though Cornet, will likely be available to them, who they would have been without). Don’t care about Burnley, as I think the situation will likely f*ck them up, however I think they have to fit in games against Watford/Norwich and Everton, as well as Spurs and Leicester. If we were nearer the bottom that would p*ss me off, basically those other relegation candidates might benefit. MOT

Thing is bud, people have raved about Cornet and said we should have signed him instead of Garibaldi Firpo but, in truth he came on against us, had a 15 minute starring cameo, scored a peach of a free kick and faded. We won the second half 2-1 with him on the pitch and I wouldn’t sign him on what I saw :emoticon-0148-yes:

On talent alone we should have signed him as well as Firpo.

On attitude we made the right decision <ok>
