“Plan B measures will expire on Jan 26th” Isolation rules will still apply till March 24th. From tomorrow mandatory face masks will no longer be required and that from Thursday next week, mandatory certification will end. “Organisations can choose to use the NHS Covid pass voluntarily, but we will end the compulsory use of Covid status certification in England,” the PM said in the Commons today, adding the government would no longer be asking people to work from home. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/covid-tests-restrictions-omicron-cases-latest-b1995948.html
A folk singer from the Czech Republic has died after deliberately catching Covid, her son has told the BBC. Hana Horka, 57, was unvaccinated and had posted on social media that she was recovering after testing positive, but died two days later. Her son, Jan Rek, said she got infected on purpose when he and his father had the virus, so she could get a recovery pass to access certain venues. The Czech Republic reported a record number of cases on Wednesday. Mr Rek and his father, who are both fully vaccinated, both caught Covid over Christmas. But he said his mother had decided not to stay away from them, preferring instead to expose herself to the virus. "She should have isolated for a week because we tested positive. But she was with us the whole time," he said. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-60050996
I'm still worried. They keep telling me it's delta that's decreased as omicron increased, but I don't know anyone that knows which version they had, or how a straw up the nose can show the difference. It's a mystery wrapped in an enigma and no mistake guvnor, but 'follow the science'.
That's all well and good with the omicron variant, but aren't we supposed to be living in fear of the next deadly variant? Still makes no sense.
Can anyone give me the heads up on requirements to enter the MKM.Obviously I'm from up North so not really sure what proof of vacc is deemed appropriate?? Mine will maybe differ slightly than the English version.
They were taking a cursory glance at stuff for the Stoke game, but they were checking nothing at all last night.
There was a shouty steward on the bridge/path to Argyle Street, but as look back in amber said, you could have shown them your Blockbuster video card and they'd have let you through.
I walk in that way and all 3 games i've never had to show anything, to many people for the Everton game anyway so people got waved past en masse, by last nights game it was a case of just walking straight past, only 2 stewards in attendance anyway so not like the club took the whole thing seroius, good job really as i hadn't done a lft, a utterly pointless excercise the whole thing as being, and that now thankfully as being binned.
It sets it out on the OWS. Stewards were checking at the entrance from the park to the main reception area.
As I understand it, in England, the requirement to show a covid passport is being lifted from next Thursday. I think this means that venues like football grounds can stop checking, but they can continue to ask for them if they choose to. Keep checking national news and City's website.
Interesting…..”Phase out statistics, say experts, after it emerged up to 70 per cent of virus patients in hospital primarily treated for other problems” https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/20...y-covid-data-updates-amid-fears-increasingly/
I've actually just been reading that on the BBC news website That's good news( for me anyway) as I'm hopeless with anything to do with downloads etc... Thanks all for the response.
