Eaves Honeyman McLoughlin/Smallwood Everyone had a good game... a complete reverse of Sunday's match in every possible way. Acun will have enjoyed that!
Eaves - immense tonight Honeyman - tireless effort Smallwood - not the quickest but his experience shone through and he held the defence together. Great all round performance.
A good team performance , we looked a different team from Sunday. Anyway Honeyman- he was everywhere, a goal , worked hard and disrupted Blackburn. Was always looking to get in on goal . Eaves - one of his best games in City shirt . He got a goal and could of had more . Smallwood - some great tackles and breakup play . Well done boys Come on City
Eaves - Superb. Absolutely pivotal in that first goal. Kept the ball in play, Cruyff turn and fed the ball to Longman. Then scored the second. Williams Honeyman Outstanding from all though really.
Eaves Honeyman Smallwood That last position was hard, toss of a coin with McLoughlin, Longman and Williams
Eaves Smallwood Honeyman Feel bad missing McLoughlin out. Fantastic effort from all the team. We rode our luck at times (penalty and some chances), but on the other hand we could easily have had 3 or more further goals with misses from KLP, Longman (?) and Smith.
Eaves Williams Honeyman. Not sure what Baxter is doing at the moment..coming out and dithering at times..might need a rest.
Honeyman - oozes quality and just makes everything tick, dunno what those Sunlan fans were seeing when they were slating him when he came to us. Eaves - fought for the ball for the first and scored the second, is this the run of games that he’s needed to show what he can do? McLoughlin - just can’t leave him out, he looks better with each start that he gets. Would Alfie even dislodge him? The other eight ran there hearts out, it was a performance that made Blackburn look shell shocked for most of the game!
Eaves. Always said there was a player in there. Williams Honeyman. Mentioned in despatches. Bernard, Greaves, McLoughlin, Smallwood, Docherty, KLP, Baxter, Longman and the crowd.
