We were really poor for 15-20 minutes and then got much better when we started pressing them a bit harder.

We can out this game to bed if we keep it up because, imo, Portsmouth are poor.

I don't see how those two statements tally tbh ...

... the object of the game is to score goals and we look more capable than them tbh.

The pitch looks in a hell of a bad state

Great! so the stats don’t tell the whole story thankfully. Hopefully we wake up 2nd half. Glad to see Batth seems to have settled quick looks like he’s going to be needed, hope Wright gets back soon to replace Flanagan.

thankfully, hoff and flanagan did not throw it away despite their best efforts to gift them a goal...flanagan needs a break (at least) but thankfully, dajaku pressed well and we almost had two goals from it if only the rest showed his urgency, at one point evans went in and won the ball back but unfortunately lost it again, neil and embo meandered back rather than getting back quickly to cover.

i feel we weathered the storm and got a lucky break rather than we 'deserved' to lead but i have said i will take scrappy 1-0 wins if it gets us what we want.

To be honest we seem to say the same every week with regard to the opposition. Not sure we have reported that we have played any real quality this season. We just have a habit of shooting ourselves in the foot repeatedly. There’s not a squad of players in the league we should be afraid of.

Poor first 20, but got into a rhythm after that. Pitch isn’t helping.

Hate this league for a number of reasons and that is one of them, time wasting tossers.
