In one of our offices there was a bloke that went for an EMC around 09:30 with his newspaper under arm. The company installed PIR lighting, and one morning as he was having his constitutional read, the lights went out & due to no windows, it was pitch black. So he waved his newspaper, unsuccessfully before remembering the sensor was near to door, so, trousers round his ankles he hoped to the door & waved at it, whereupon the door opened and a group of Business visitors walked in

 

He said we are now debt free with cash in the bank.

 

That looked like Sue Cracknell who used to go on City supporters club coach's to away games in the late 70 and early 80 's when Eleanor Mcgee did the organising

I agree with the techicality that it is debt free especially if Acun doesn't add the purchase fee to the club (which is unlikely) but ...

Is there any difference in real terms between a club sold for £0 with £20m of debt repaid and paying £20m for a club with £0 debt. I don't see any difference other than potential ability to repay. Especially in our circumstances where we were paying interest on our £0 debt at several million pounds a year.

 

Is it so common for a club to be in debt to its new owner to the amount of the purchase price? I thought that was the controversial move employed by some club owners, such as the Glazers, rather than the norm?

 

My old manager delighted in telling the whole office 'too much information' about his ablutions and the dayly state he found the factory khazi in, they involved sitting on broom handles, touching cloth, pebble dashing, dead otters and birds nests?

Sue Cracknell has been a staunch Hull City supporter for as long as I can remember. I remember her when she was a lot younger at Boothferry Park. She even went on pre season tours with the club.

 

Think her mum used to work at the club and she followed suit in the hospitality suites early doors
