I'd like a snide action stopping cm like fernandinho. Just early foul in the right palce stops play before it can develop but we seem to prefer to either hack at someone late or try win the ball to set up an attack.
You've just reminded me... Did people see the **** Jones was getting from the Palace players when their player landed in his head? Jones did nothing wrong in this instance but Kane does it properly every game (often more than once) and gets applauded for it
Yeah, it looked worse on replay..... just like the pen I thought their players climbed all over in real time. In slow mo it looked like Jones was still moving as the player climbed on him.
i thought that was as dodgy as **** from Jones as he carried on moving then bent down ensuring the CP player got "tipped" which is really dangerous . I'm honestly amazed that we haven't seen a player in the top leagues end up with a fairly serious spinal injury from this sort of event
I've just watched it back multiple times and both Jones and Olise move towards the ball looking up. Olise jumps and is bum height at Jones's head with Jones standing up and static. It looks like he feels Olise climbing up his back and bends his head obviously to avoid getting a head injury himself. Olise's weight and height carry the momentum forward and over Jones's now bent back, there wasn't much Jones could do about it imo. I don't think it was anything like the way Kane deliberately makes a back and then acts like he's the injured one. If it wasn't for Jones's reaction to it the ref wouldnt have stopped play either.
I agree it wasn't as pre meditated as the Kane ones but he saw Olise jump and carried on moving forwards the bent over which was bound to lead to him being tipped . They just don't seem to grasp the inherent dangers in that action . Oh and in my original post about this during the break in play was that the one good thing was that Curtis did get play stopped so Olise could get treatment .
I will never defend dangerous play. Having watched it back I don't think it is dangerous play by Jones who doesn't see Olise jump because he is behind him and they are both looking up at the ball. I think the first thing Jones knows about it is feeling Olise jumping into his back, he actually whacked him at head height with his behind. The natural reaction to that would be to bend over to get your head out of the way. Olise's weight coming down on Jones, looks to me why he's bent his back. Don't forget Jones has just come back from a bad eye injury so will be protective of his head.
I hate to see players do that but seriously doubt Jones knew anything about it. He bent forwards because his opponent got up first leaving Jones nowhere to go whilst getting clobbered. These thing can happen without intent (Kane usually looks for his opponent coming first)
Kane puts his hand back to feel for the opponent so he knows when to bend. **** will break someones neck one day and needs putting down with a blunt knife.
Yeah probably a bit extreme but i have seen the guy do this year after year with no regard for others. Probably not his fault, he looks as thick as **** so doesn't realise the damage he could cause.
Oh, I get hes a **** and deserves stringing up for it. I'd say his teammates and coaches deserve **** too, they should be telling him!
