Reminds me of when it was thought we could sell Bowen and Grosicki as there was no risk of relegation..
Maybe if we’d changed the Manager then, or a little later when it became apparent he wasn’t up to the task it may have reduces the risk.
At the time he'd taken us to a point off the play offs, so in fairness there was no indication he wasn't up to it. By the time it was apparent we were into COVID.
I know but we could have still made a change before it was too late. We chose not to & paid the price.
Why would he lie or deliberately mislead the board ? HT2. like everyone on here ( I think anyhow) is a Hull City supporter and maybe had contacts around the club who tell him bits and bobs, but thing changes by the hour and sometimes the information they have isn't what they thought. That's not deliberately misleading someone or a lie. Its gossip, Why are you so intent of making an issue of this and particularly HT2 ?
Maybe if some of the players had of played for the manager and the club instead of going though the motions we might have won enough points to stop up ?
There's a reasonable chance,a high probability that that's correct? However, and this is the important part,McCann(irrespective of your personal thoughts on him),deserves to be told by his employer that it's finally over, not read it in the local rag? You come across as a man of scruples,an admirable quality. The HDM came across as factually and morally wrong on this occasion!!
'Turn up' ? As he's turned up every other day for training why should he not 'turn up' today ? I believe Monday is a day off so the first chance the new Director of Football will have had to speak to Grant face to face would, no doubt be today. He will be relieved of his duties and the new manager will be announced by the club as soon as they are ready too.
How can - GM knows he is on his way, has been spoken to & is happy with the compo - change to “he hasn’t been spoken to”? You can’t have it both ways. In this instance it was HT2 that was adamant GM had been spoken to & he had been given the go ahead to release the info but now says GM hasn’t been spoken to & because of this the BBC were wrong to reveal it at the weekend. What’s your opinion on the suggestion that people may have knowingly put incorrect info on the board with the deliberate intent of misleading the posters?
Because according to this thread, and the local press, he was let go yesterday. So is he still our coach this morning or not?
Absolutely agree, but I’d add that it’s the Managers job to make that happen & change those attitudes. As it is in most professions.
