Regarding Salisu's incentives, it's worth remember that he's likely on below-average wages versus our payscale. He joined us at 21 with only one top-flight season under his belt at Valladolid. So while he certainly has the leverage of running down his contract, that still means another 2.5 years of getting paid basically entry-level, with no guarantee that a big club will move for him.

Signing a new deal now would probably see him double (potentially a decent amount more than that) his wages, and it's not like it would make a move impossible in a couple years, either.

From Portishead I see, hope he sees some glory in our box and it's not a case of Armitage shanks the ball...

Funny enough, I was going to make that joke about an hour ago, and then just ended up listening to Portishead instead.

Online sources I can find suggest he is on circa 23k which is about half the wage you would expect of an established premier league player/starter (if not less than half)

Which is why you should immediately now go and listen to Fable's track, Orbiting.

Welcome to Saints, young Will Armitage.

We've got more willies than an 80s German porno flick. Oh yah!

And more arms than a bloody octopus.

Indeed they are, but I feel he will go to someone bigger than us…….or maybe even abroad……he is a quality player though.

So long as this would be a loan then Im all for it. There is undoubtedly a player in there somewhere and Ralph stands a better chance than most at bringing them out.

We are more or less safe so he would be playing with minimal pressure which may help. Doubt it would happen due to wages but considering the low risk of a short term loan, it is a no brainer.

Tough one. I’d probably take Alli with a decent option to buy and wages shared reasonably.

But it would also block a pathway for some of the youngsters. And he’s been horrible for a while.

There’s a class player in there though, so could end up being Lingard-esque.

I would definitely take Alli. Very good player but is a bit precious.
Another plus is that under Pochettino he learned about the high press, so would slot straight in.
Don’t know if we can afford him though.

Wasn’t Alli ones of many linked with Newcastle? Potentially another player who has turned them down ? Or a rumour designed to spur them on
