Just looking at next month's fixtures. Putting the Liverpool cup game and Fulham at the end of the month aside there are no games that should worry us in terms of the opposition. This could be our make or break month really. The one big concern is fatigue and injuries setting in as we have 2 games per week every week. That's a big ask of a relatively thin squad.
Well it's been thin since Tomlin left....... "Winnable games" are the buzzwords, and I'm as guilty as the next guy in mentioning them, but the February games are going to be a benchmark for the tenure of Morison after his dealings in the January window come to an end. Usually a bottom half team or two go on a decent run at the back end of the season - just hope one of them is us and February could kick it off.
A lot will depend on the make up of the team. Will Moore be still here? Will there be any new players? Will Watters and Bowen be fit? For as sure as eggs are eggs unless we see some new players or he trusts youth over the likes of Collins, Bacuna, Pack & Vaulks in particular it’s going to be difficult to predict anything other than what we continue to witness week on week.
Alternatively the other clubs in the dogfight with us will be thinking we are a feasible target to beat. Especially at fortress CCS.
Fulham 5.2 up on Birmingham already tonight. Still nearly 20 minutes to go. Wilson not scored yet. They are a bit useful aren't they?
Anyone else notice PNE overcame having 10 men to come back to draw v Sheff U? Something we weren’t able to do. Mind you we're clueless when playing against 10 men as well
Bournemouth got their boots on the wrong feet. My brother in law says they can't score for toffees and predicted Hull would score. Hull 6 points up from us looks like a bottom 5 dog fight.
Thankfully the results went our way regarding the teams below us but only just - even WBA left it late. Yes BfB, Hull pulling away with a very impressive 6 points out of 6
Had a text saying Hull’s new owners are going to sack McCann He got them promoted and they’ve just beaten 2 of the top 3.
