Good win. So many players played well MOTM is a hard pick. But sloppy goals to give away. I was expecting another power cut in the 89th minute
I agree that their first goal was sloppy, but the second was the combination of an unfortunate rebound (from Mitro's shot) and a very good finish (after Reed had already pushed the striker wide). Two turning points today - they should have had a penalty with the score at 3-2 and 60 seconds later we scored our 4th, which ended the game as a contest. Then Kebano's missed hat trick chance seemed to end our attacking forays and the game may as well have ended. Anyway, 13 goals in two games and top of the league. No complaints from me and I can only hope we roll on this form into Brum on Tuesday.
It's our game in hand tonight, with Birmingham coming to the Cottage. 7:45pm ko, GJ on commentary, and just one change to the side, with Dennis coming in for Tete. A win tonight will give a 5pt gap to 2nd and 3rd, and the player's confidence should be way high following our recent results. As all games in the Championship, it will be a tough one, and we need to play well............
We've conceded 4 goals in the last two games, starting to get very concerned... ...joking aside, another destructive performance. Records falling, a gap at the top and confidence flowing throughout the team. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season!
Do we feel that we might wake up and it was all a dream! This is an amazing time to be a Fulham fan - long may it last.
Stoke away, 3pm. Wilson and Mitro both absent. Bobby and Muniz come in, and both more than capable This will be a real tough one today.........
Phew, that was tough................................... but a 3-2 win, Muniz and Bobby scoring! 8 pts clear of 2nd and 3rd, and next up Blackpool at the Cottage next Saturday. Have a good week!
Be interesting to see what Silva does about the Blackpool game. Illness, Injuries and International call ups have taken their toll. Mitro and Wilson were out against Stoke with illness, will they be back, let's hope there are no others since. Seri may be back from the AFCON but will he play, BDC Reid and Robinson are off on Internationals. Tete has an injury that may keep him out for a month or more You'd expect Odoi @ RB - Bryan @ LB - Muniz for Mitro - Knockaert for Wilson
It's a bit of a catch-up today, with the transfer window closing and now FA Cup weekend. Firstly, Denis has left us to return to Belgium shores, 5.5 years of fantastic service and that header against Derby in the play-offs. Massive thanks to him. Incoming Neco Williams will be a great asset and will lessen the loss of Denis. We held on to Fabio as promised for the remainder of the season, and as that was the plan, he will not be too disappointed and will continue to impress. So on to the Cup, Man City away, well they don't get tougher than that! It will be a great experience, our defence will be tested to the limit and likely beyond, but can we get a goal or two for ourselves, are we prem material up front. A bet on it not being 0-0 would be a banker! Think we will put out our first 11, City don't have a second team........ Lastly, our board is fading badly, the onset coming since Cottager 58 stopped appearing and any real insider info has gone. So do we give up, as I assume other sites are of greater interest, or do we continue? PLEASE hit the LIKE button to vote, that we continue. Enjoy today, it's our dream for next season to be playing City in the EPL............
Sadly the board is not what it was, but we should continue. I follow some Fulham Facebook groups but the standard of discussion is not the same. Perhaps we should all make a bit more of an effort - this is Fulham's best season for a long time.
That's good for Bournemouth's confidence Although 4-1 wasn't a good result, I thought we did ourselves proud against the best team in Europe, especially in the 1st half.
Hey guys, Sorry I've not posted for a while. I will try and do better ! Thought we did well first half against Man City and at least came away with some credibility. I was pleased we at least took the game to them and gave them a game until the penalty. They way we play we were open to conceding and it could have been worse. I think it shows where we need to improve and do what we do well for more than 60 mins. Should be a lot different tomorrow against Millwall. Need those 3 points to keep a good distance. I want to win it outright. We've proved to be the best team so far - can't afford to do a Bournemouth - something seriously wrong there.
It's Millwall under the Cottage lights this evening, ko 7:45pm, live on the Sky red button if you have it. Having won at the Den 2-1 last year, we can do the double tonight. No injuries other than Tete, who is soon to return I'm not anticipating much change from the starting 11 against City, any thoughts? A good opportunity to open up some more breathing space, at the top of the league!
