It looks like Ander Herrera is going to join Lyon from PSG, which would allow Ndombele to move. Romano has responded with this vaguely worded ****e: Only 50 more posts from him before something might actually happen.
Women's football is bloody awful. Particularly the goalkeeping, which is dreadful. What’s annoying is the PC woke brigade (particularly sky sports and bbc) shove it down our throats as if it’s a great part of their sports coverage and we should give a sh*t. But It’s like watching a really slow, low level of mens football. Sorry if I have offended anyone I’ll get back in my box now
Villa are good at this transfer lark, Chambers today like Ings in the summer and even Coutinho to a certain extent, no big media frenzy, just identify player, negotiate a fee announce transfer. I think he will do OK at Villa too.
Agree the standard isn’t great but it’s good to see it on tv and for young girls to have role models. I fail to see how it’s being shoved down our throats though?
Fair enough I was being quite sexist and my daughters do football club so I shouldn’t be quite so condescending. I suppose it’s the fact they advertise it as a big deal on sky as if it’s a part of the sky sports package worth signing up for. And on the bbc the other day they had an online transfer quiz about January window signings and included a question about a WPL signing which I doubt anyone knew!
Nah I know what you mean. I see better standard over local parks. U16s boys sides have beaten senior women’s national teams and yet the media’s peddling it more and more as if the standard is watchable. Now women’s MMA on the other hand, different story. There’s some women I’d pay £100+ a ticket for to see live and they’d be worth every penny. Likewise a tennis match involving Serena Williams - and I don’t even like tennis! But women’s football? You’d have to pay me to go and watch it, truly awful.
As you say a rumour- made up by anyone who has an agenda. Which ( don't take it personally ) you are helping to spread.
I’ve been watching Levy pull these kind of stunts for many years where he pisses about near the end and we miss out totally A rumour yes but if I was a betting man I’d put a few bob on it being close to the truth.
From the actual things that are happening i "imagine" the process works a little like this Conte goes to Paratice and says i need players for this position, they sit and discuss suitable players. Paratice goes to Levy and say's we would like these players (at this point nothing changes), Levy say's ok, leave it with me i will negotiate for them. All in my mind of course but i just can't see Levy giving up hold on the purse strings to anyone DoF or not.
If that’s the case then the club are just wasting money on employing Paratici as his role would be very minimal. We were hoping that Levy would give the financial budget and then Paratici and the manager would choose targets together and work to bring those players in. Unfortunately it’s probably not happening like that
Just the way i "imagine" it. The use of the DoF is being restricted to that of continuity of players and style between managers but has no say on actual fees paid or value of any player purchased. Chief negotiator DL still.
If 60K odd women wanna go and watch Spurs ladies each time they play at new WHL : ok with me. If N hundred thousand women wanna watch ladies football on broadcast TV whenever shown : ok with me. If anyone attempts to force me into partaking in any of the above ...
https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/ne...aratici-managing-director-football/?gamp=true Some of that makes it sound like his role is more than just that. But so far it does sound more like you have said.
Vlahovic unveiled as a Juve player. Deal worth up to £62m. Insane money for a player with 5 months left on his contract. And i feel for the Fiorentina fans who not a week ago were listening to the player promise he'd only consider buy and loan-back as he wanted to help them into Europe. Money talks. Lots of journos now saying the Ndombele loan deal is inching forwards. I read that to mean physically as well as legally.
Had 18 months left, deal expired in 2023. Rumour was that Juve told Fiorentina to either take this offer now or Juve will sign him for free in 18 months, so sounds like they were backed in a corner as the player apparently only wanted Juve.
