Letting go of AMN for a player who hasn't had a consistent run of games, or played in the top flight, in about 3/4 years would be typical of us
Paper talk today saying Vhalovic wants a 'more ambitious' move than Arsenal. Sounds like his agents talking to me. Trying to bump up the price. He would be a ****in scoop if we could get him. What does seem likely though, is that he's leaving Fiorentina.
.. we will probably see Odegaard played deeper and ESR in the 10 position but still it seems like absolute madness and could potentially cost us a Champions League place. We finally have a system/team working & playing well it's exactly the sort of disruption to the team we don't need.
Wijnaldum is being linked. Would be decent cover IMO. Although not a long term solution he's arguably better than Xhaka and Way better than Elneny etc.
Soo where does this side finish in the League? -------------------------Ramsdale------------------------- Tomiyasu--------White--------Gabriel-------Tierney ------------------Partey----------Guimeraes------------ -------------------------Odengaard------------------------ ----Saka---------------Vlahovic----------SmithRowe Bench: Lacazette, Martinelli, Xhaka, Lokonga, Tavares, Holding, Leno.
So, according to reports tonight, Bruno Guimaraes - one of our long-term CM targets - could be on the cusp of joining Newcastle. They have offered Lyon €40m for him, which Lyon have accepted, and now it's up to the player to decide whether he wants to move there. If this move goes through, there will be a bounty on Edu and Josh Kroenke's heads. It will be a monumental blow to lose one of our top CM targets to Newcastle.
All we can hope now is that he does a Vhlaovic and decides he wants to come to us instead of Newcastle According to Fabrizio Romano, we're still in for him ....
Dunno much about him I have to admit. But I do remember him tearing it up against Lesta in both of their ties, scored in both I think ? Apparently we're also after Douglas Luiz from Villa. He would be a really decent signing and would improve our MF straight away
Callum Chambers has joined Villa https://www.arsenal.com/news/calum-...yzHE3mRRKJ_XGHxvxzYBZkocT_VrZ0xi7ZjXEvv_ZqY74
This one came out the blue. Supposedly, the fee is only £2m. But he was out of contract this Summer so we were only ever going to get a nominal fee. A bit surprised, as I preferred him to Cedric, but in the situation he's in and with us only playing 1 game a week/with no intention to extend his deal, it makes sense. A good servant to the club and always did his best when available. And more successful than all of Spurs in the last 14 years: please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
This also means Mohamed Elneny is currently our longest serving player now, as he joined us in January 2016. Which is absolutely mental when you think about it!
