Day Two. We go again Sir Gerhard L' Homme Presse Drop The Anchor / The Shunter Shiskin Tiger Roll Andy Dufrense/ Buddy Rich Facile Vega ( 25s Ew ante post))
Afternoon all, another exciting day ahead. My arrows for the day: 1.30 I’m sure Sir Gerhard will be hard to beat but I’ve a few doubts and not backing at odds on. Done STAGE STAR Evs to finish in first 3. 2.10 BRAVEMANSGAME 11/4 2.50 THE SHUNTER 6/5 to finish in the first 8, is 2/2 at the course. 3.30 SHISKIN 10/11 4.10 PRENGARDE 11/10 first 4 places. 4.50 EDITEUR DU GITE 11/10 first 6 places, also had good course form. 5.30 FACILE VEGA 7/4 as recommended by most on todays forum. Good luck all
14:10 Cheltenham - Gaillard Du Mesnil (Might do better over this extended 3m trip. 16/1 in four or five places best price at time of writing) Best of luck today!
The accas are off to a good start so! really powerful run from SG - fingers crossed for BMG in the next!
↑ ireland not taking part this year ? you’ll be eating humble pie .... Rudey -You were right on the 'humble pie' warning! It is always best not to crow about successes? If the person has to, then wait until it's all over before spouting-off. 4-4 now, by the way.
Looks like a few of you might like my rule 7 in the competition, about the NR going on to the fav, unless told otherwise.
Gutsy run by L'Homme Presse. Fine ride by Charlie Deutsch for Venetia Williams' first Grade 1 success at a Cheltenham Festival! (Please with the third place run by Gaillard Du Mesnil too at 16/1)
Great jumper but not getting any younger. Big danger is his stable companion Delta Work who has oodles of class form in normal Chases. I think he's new to Cross Country so we'll have to wait and see. Noticed Stick picked Delta Work in the comp.
Although he won the Grand National on heavy ground, I don’t think he’ll relish it. Certainly, Bolger’s French bred pair of Prengarde and Easyland will love it. Since J.P. runs four, you’d have to think Mark Walsh’ choice of Prengarde is a tip in itself.
obviously the British have absolutely no chance against the Irish this week. My point was that the British had put up a very good performance on day 1 - which they did.
