This is the problem right here. If away fans make themselves known they should be ejected. Simple. Yes many of us have done it…and if we’d have been thrown out we’d have shrugged it off. Home stewards enabling it is just ****
Oh come on, less of the moaning. You know full well it's only a seat, and there are plenty of others and they're all good views. We got told that often enough in the past.
I remember 3 of us going in the home end (terracing) at Bristol City about an hour before kick-off. This was when away fans could be spotted a mile off. About 1,500 of the home fans gathered around us but the police moved them away. I didnt fancy the odds.
I don't think anyone's advocating it. It's just people, myself included who have done it before realise you'll struggle to stop it completely so accept it's going to happen. The problem is how many get in. First thing we should do is not let anyone buy a ticket, or cancel any already bought, for the game who's never bought one before. 99% of the problem is solved there and then. Secondly they should instantly throw any Forest fan out who does anything other than keep their mouth shut. The idiots at the Peterborough game and the video of it circling about should be enough warning to the club to act on the obvious likelyhood of trouble.
My brotherinlaw took my Dad to Manure v Newcastle at Newcastle and they sat in the home end with a load of rowdy Geordies. It turned out to be a very boring game, but Manured scored late on, so the Newcastle fans went very quite. Right then, my dad blurted out loudly "Oh well, at least we've seen a goal"
I’m hoping forest have a shout when they play us, if we are on the beach and they make 11 changes it will be boring . If they have a chance then it might make us take it more serious too and be decent game
I'm also hoping they have a chance of automatic and we beat them and they go on to **** up the play offs. Their supporters are ****ers. I sit in W11. Not sure which way I will be facing during the game.
I went to Tottenham v Forest in the 70s. At the end of the match the Forest fans were kept in the ground and Spurs fans were outside making out they were going to attack Forest fans when they came out. The gates were opened and Forest fans charged at Spurs fans who ran away.
What are you suggesting? We’re expecting a surge of local support for (in our case) a meaningless game? Or Forest fans in our end is money in our coffers?
