<applause> RTB, For the penultimate posting of this season.

Broadhead's fitness (or lack of it ) is one crucial factor. We await Monday to find out.

Who scores the first goal is also another crucial factor.

We are one up, but they are at home.. a further consideration.

    Its all to fight for.

Us to go to Wembley by a very narrow margin.

Great thread RTB, hopefully only one more to go and then we can all relax, this tie was always going to be close, our bench and AN's use of it will be the difference. Oau,

Kieth rather than Cliff for me

I'm quite confident going down there with a narrow lead tbh, Neil seems to know how to grind games out ...

... I'd be surprised if we don't score and more so if we concede two.

I think we will need to score (if Broadhead is fit, more than likely) and I see us probably only conceding 1.

    Going to be tight

Even having Broadhead named on the bench would be a massive psychological boost for us and put them on a downer methinks. Would still only use him if necessary.

Great thread RTB, were going to another Wembley final lads and lasses.

We certainly have the ability to do this so to me will all be about what’s in their minds. For a long time now was never comfortable with the guy we had on the sideline installing the right mentality for this. I think we have the guy now. The next hopefully two games will prove that. Going for 1 - 0 to us at the death. Stewart again as he seems to have a voodoo sign over them.

I thought we'd go up this season under , erm, whatsisname ?
    <laugh>
    Lee Johnson lol.
Genuinely had to google him then.
Brain fart more than derogatory towards him.
    I did like him.
But I do think Alex Neil is a better fit .
We all know what bitter disappointed tastes like far too often, but I'm pretty calm up to now.
We're good enough, we've got a fantastic record the last 15 or so games and just need to see it through for 2 more.

I've really got a good feeling about Alex Neil. Even if we don't make it this season, again FFS.

This time next week we could be championship heir's Rodney :emoticon-0148-yes: :D

I’d be trying to stiffen up our defensive left side maybe by having Cirkin wing back and sticking 09 in a back 3. Matete in for Clarke. Stay in the initial bombardment and bring attacking subs on to win it if needed

SW, I presume will attack hard in the opening 20 mins...we have to weather that

    Then start attacking ourselves...

I think we need to forget the 1-0 lead, and treat this as a one off away game, we've been really solid on our travels generally since AN came, and we have the players to hurt teams on the counter, hopefully that includes Broadhead, even for a short spell. Obviously they'll throw the kitchen sink at us, and that will tell us a lot about our squad and manager. Just don't lose.

That's exactly what Neil will do imo.
It's not a semi final second leg, it's just Sheff Wed away and we can beat them. (is what I reckon he will say)

Break the game into blocks. First as you say get through the first 20 mins. Then get to half time without conceding. That will set up a hell of a second half because we know they will have to press the panic button sometime then if they haven’t scored. Should leave a few gaps at the back :)

They will come at us early and they will have incredible support like we did last night.

We need the lads who are down there in fine voice, let’s be real, no concerns on that.

I think it’s a 1-1, I just hope we get the first so I don’t have to run round ****ting my pants and head butting doorframes.

Proba head to Sunderland to watch it like.

I know they're expected to throw the kitchen sink at us but I'm not sure they have the plumbing.

They were expected to bombard Crewe, who were terrible, bottom and relegated, but only beat them with a dodgy penalty in front of a big crowd.

As we know from our past, needing to perform on the big stage doesn't always mean you do ...

... I wasn't impressed on Friday, Wednesday looked like just another one dimensional L1 outfit.

It may be us that freezes but Neil seems to have instilled the right mentality and I think we'll put in a similar professional performance like we did at Wigan when we went down and barely gave them a chance.

I would suggest doyle in at the back with cirkin wing back. Totally agree with strengthening the back a bit more and palmer seemed to get a lot of space at the back post towards the end of the game with clarke not always tracking back. Then we can get the likes of roberts, clarke, mcgeady on against tired legs if need be.
Thought Onien was brilliant keeping bannan quiet so would keep him in the middle.
