    gutted I’m not there tonight.

    Got a golf match tomorrow that has to be played in the morning. Gotta try and smash it early to increase pre-match drinking time . Bought some mini bottles of aquavit on my work trip to Copenhagen which should accelerate my vibe on the train/tube to Wembley.

    As Shakespeare once penned, "Once more into the breach, dear friends".

    Tomorrow is the culmination of a long season, of ups and downs, but would we really have it any other way? I am soon to bed for an early start tomorrow and I shall sleep well knowing these players and coaches will have prepared as well as they could do.

    I wish everyone a great day tomorrow, whether they are at wembley or not. Every single supporter has played a part in our history, and we all will tomorrow. I will see you all on the other side, and whatever the outcome we will still be Sunderland, and still be the famous Red and White Army.

    Don't get me wrong everyone enjoying themselves is great... pandemics, energy increases et al, a knees up is great...

    But for me its all about the win, if we lose, it will taste like ashes..

    Having said that this time feels different I just fcuking well hope so.
