I've voted yes but it could have easily have been no. I feel even more sick during games knowing that each point we might get is even more important to us.
I know what you mean Rules. Last season we wondered whether we could maintain the momentum to go up. This year, the same thing but to stay up. I enjoy the excitement of playing the bigger clubs though. You couldn't write last weeks game, thats what it's all about for me.
Tough one..... Loved singing 'top of the league', may never happen again but beating the chavs tops everything!
I'm with you on playing the bigger clubs. Know a few Arsenal fans and I'm looking forward to the banter with them. As for last sunday.... I was saying to my mum (masive sports fan, hence why her ears picked up on the stadium thing) on the tuesday before the game, that if we set about them we might get something out of it. I didn't say a win but that we could maybe draw. I had a feeling that most of the chelsea team wouldn't see it as a derby game and might get caught flat footed, IMO that exactly what happened but I never thought we might beat them.
I think not expecting to win, ( Head ) but secretly hoping to win ( Heart ) is what makes this game so great. It's what makes us keep going through the turnstile, hoping for one of those moments, ( Whether it's a wonder goal, Sinclair, a dramatic win , Chelsea, even just a dramatic game, Newcastle 5-5, )so that you can say you were there. I was there for all of these, plus many more. rrrs... Maybe not this season mate, but it was great singing that every week but perhaps one or two.
to have so many quality internationals grace the pitch at Loftus Road ater 15 years in the wilderness is fantasic. Sure, we will get our butts kicked as Foolham did, but if we then win the next game 1-0 we should earn enough points to stay up. We earnt the right to compete and Im lovin it!
Went yes cos playing in the Prem is what it's all about, last season will go down as one of our greatest though
We beat Chelsea, can't do that in The Championship. I voted yes, while last year was like being on top of the world, this year we are at the sharp end of football which is like coming home. Aspirations lower but getting them will give just as much of a buzz as last year.
No, for me the championship winning season was very special. Not only did we win the trophy we were "robbed" of all those years ago,but the way we went about it,not dropping outside of the auto promotion places all season, setting a new unbeaten club record, securing 26 clean sheets was it?,and having the league's player of the year in our team. Very Special season for us imo
Even from away, I can feel the difference - I say better this year (at least more Canadian television exposure - that probably means nothing to most of you but it means the world to me). Just like to still be here a year from now
Yes and no... Yes, love the big game atmosphere every match generates because every game is so important and we are now part of it. Last Sunday just couldn't be topped unless we win at Stamford Bridge. No, the trepidation that we could be absolutely hammered is something that follows us into almost every game and will continue to do so until we strengthen the side in January. I'm looking forward to and dreading this afternoon's match at the same time, which Rangers will turn up today?
Good reply - we can't compete on pure talent with these top teams (on paper, Spurs look the dream team) - but we must use the scrapping and battling characteristics that I believe our team possesses to keep picking up points until we reach Jan and hopefully the NW/TF/AB team can pull some vital purchases out of the bag. My big worry at the moment is that if we leak goals, as Norwich did yesterday, we don't quite have the form up front to make it up. Helguson's odd goal won't be enough. We need the SWP's and Terrorbat's to start firing, and Barton and Faurlin to sharpen up offensively.
Well, every single game is damn tough, but, yes, this is what it's all about. Being in the Premier League is great for me as I live in mainland Europe, so Match Of The Day is really special now. Good question though, I mean last year's Championship was like living in cloud cuckoo land? Fulham, Bolton, etc., brought us all down to earth but I still love the Premier League regardless. Just hope to God R's do well enough in it so we can be proud of them...............
Its a tough one all right, but after last seasons brilliant effort to get us here it has to be yes. I,m much more nervous before games now, esp televised ones.
I'm actually feeling quite awful at the moment, just the prospect of big defeat makes the nerves jangle. But then I felt the same before the Everton game and the Chelsea game, so why worry?... Bloody hell, it's Man City next week...
