Looks like an out of town garden centre. Let's hope it includes defensive training...

Let’s hope we’re still drawing breath when it’s finally built.

Yep...latest seems to only be that we have planning permission to do what we want to do now, and I guess because everything has taken so long, the club are wanting to make any bit of good news seem like really good news...hence the front page of the website, and tricking people who just glance at the headline into thinking it is new information, when it isn't!

I've recently moved to around Boston Manor and thank god we weren't able to go ahead with Warren Farm. It's actually a beautiful area with lots of wildlife. It feels like you're in proper countryside when you're there.

Be great to hear how the locals cleaned up all the old buildings now we aren’t building all new facilities there for the community and have done all the things they said they planned to do for the area and community.
Do you know how they have moved things forward since AWJM?

The old buildings are there and nothing is being done with them.

In a way, I feel they add to the charm of the place. And you could film some good zombie apocalypse scenes there.

In any case, there is a lot of good nature and wildlife around there, which would be destroyed. The very field with those disused buildings has a lot of protected wildlife, including a particular type of bird that nests on the ground amongst the grasses (which is why they ask people to stay to the walkways).

So, for me, the reason NOT to build there has nothing to do with whether or not the old buildings are cleared up. The local authority (or landowner) should look into what to do with the buildings. I don't think normal local citizens need to dedicate hours upon hours of their time in order to prevent developments that would take away a) a really great natural site and b) a great facility for the community.
