Wonderful to see that Stop Brexit prick have his amplification equipment confiscated outside Westminster. He'll now be prosecuted.
Brilliant political protest is met with prosecution. I absolutely understand he’s annoying to a number of people but not exactly doing any harm.
He's been targeting and abusing people with his megaphone. That goes beyond protest, and becomes legal nuisance. Personally, I found the constant noise coming from Remainer tossers outside Parliament, and their attempts to drown out TV interviews (by both pro and anti Brexit spokesmen) irritating because I couldn't hear the arguments.
I’ve not disagreed that he can be irritating but by prosecuting this fella for political protest, which you are in favour of because you don’t like his message or delivery you’re opening up to this soon happening to someone you agree with and don’t consider a tosser, by that time a president is set and for consistency you’d have to support the same measures being taken against someone you favour.
Know Your Rights Number three: You have the right to free speech……..as long as you’re not dumb enough to actually try it. J. Strummer
It’s almost as though some people warned against erosion of rights it’s fine though well until you’ve agreed with some that don’t affect you directly you feel a bit silly when they slip a few changes that **** you and your views in the here and now.
It has nothing to do with the message. There's a new law that has come in to prevent people being harassed by aggressive "protesters". That would equally apply to the idiots that were trying to intimidate Kier Starmer. People have to exercise the right to protest responsibly and within the law.
If you harass someone loudly with a megaphone at short range, that's aggressive. It applies now outside Westminster, just as it would if the bloke was doing it to you over your fence on a quiet Sunday afternoon. You may appreciate it when right wing mobsters have their megaphone taken from them after harassing a Labour MP while he's out canvassing.
Comes across as a bit soft from the same group of massive nonces constantly banging on about freedom of speech. I wait with baited breath for this nonsense law to be applied equally forcefully for all.
Isn’t it sad that Campbell a yesterday’s man if I ever saw one, is still hanging around parliament? Like Blair and his endless and endlessly ignored ‘policy papers’ and Major giving us his opinion like some elder statesman rather than the ringmaster of corrupt fiasco that he was. Graceless hangers on, injecting attention into their hardened veins. Give it a rest and retire gracefully …….oops too late.
