    Hopefully Clarke tells spurs he's not signing a new deal and wants out to play 1st team regularly. Plus Spurs will need to recoup some of the money they've spent

    Realistically he’ll be restricted to the odd league cup game and a place on the bench at best there, he’d be better off here

    Given his age he wouldn’t leave for free next summer which strengthens Spurs’ hand somewhat. Can’t imagine the player is delusional enough to think he’s realistically got a future there.

    That's a big signing for us. It'll be the most we've spent on a player since our Premier League days by a considerable margin.

    I can only imagine Spurs will stick in some sell on fees at the very least if not a buy back. But you'd have to assume he's still going to cost us £5-6m even entering the last year of his contract.

    Alex Neil keeps mentioning continuity in the squad. I think there's only Broadhead and Clarke missing now?!? I think both return for preseason on the 1st so hopefully some movement back end of the week
