Thinking about it, we will obviously sign a young striker as it makes far too much sense. You have the perfect opportunity to blood them while under the guidance of an experienced striker who will be treated carefully to avoid injury.. although I did see a comment somewhere that the last time Wilson had a full pre season under Howe he only missed a couple of games, idk if true, regardless hes obviously older now

I love the way we have been operating in our transfer dealings and we are obviously competent now so I very much expect something to happen.. Like I say it makes too much logical sense

The options in this department might be limited, and difficult, but people here will know more than me, I see a few names thrown about

Also this means we 100% won't sign someone on loan as that makes no logical sense, we can just play big Joe up front and as we are just sexy as **** these days, even more than usual, we will have a fun season regardless

Probably should have made a thread, ACS man can you do the business or is it a copy and paste job and tbh I'm trying to film this space time-lapse to put on YouTube im up to my ears here

Hmm although playing big Joe up front makes no logical sense as he needs to progress in midfield. I've gone all Mr spock, probably this space thing I got going on its a big old place space I assume that's why it's called space

They'll definitely sign more but they'll be reassessing the market and seeing what's potentially opened up.

Newcastle are in quite a strong position now because they're not desperate to sign anyone really and could probably do without.

When opportunities present themselves they can snap them up.

We’ve had 3 players playing on the right of a front 3 , Fraser/ Murphy/ Miggy it’s a pity we can’t merge the 3 to make one decent player
Diaby plays LW so unless we flog ASM it makes no sense short term
I think we were so keen on Hugo because he can play across the front 3
I think Howe sees Wood as cover for Wilson if we don’t bring anyone else in bearing in mind how well he’s played keeping us up ..cough cough

I just hope we get another Bruno situation, basically just out of the blue. Few days later - signed.

Im trying to think of a joke about wood being a false nine because hes ****, just can't quite get the wording right

Just a joke mind, I very much appreciate him being in the team when we took off last season. 25 Mill was too much considering other prices but it worked so happy days.

Aye £25m was the release clause
That meant quick sale no pissing around and done which was what we needed at the time
I don’t think anyone would say that was his true worth
